~Bella's POV
As I stepped out of the prison gates, I let out a deep sigh. The air outside felt different, less heavy. I looked up at the sky. It was a little cloudy, but there was a light breeze brushing against my cheeks. I wrapped my arms around myself, still trying to shake off the feeling I always had whenever I visited Noah.
I pulled out my phone and quickly ordered a cab.
"Cab to City Avenue, near Rose Street Clinic," I told the app. It confirmed my ride and said the driver would arrive in five minutes.
"Five minutes," I muttered and sat on the small bench near the sidewalk. My shoulders were aching. My head, a little heavy. But my heart? It was doing something else entirely. It was jumping and skipping with joy.
I had just told Noah about Mia. His eyes had lit up. He didn't say much, he never did, but I saw the way his lips twitched and how he exhaled slowly, like something inside him had loosened. I knew he was proud. I knew he was happy.
