~Alex's POV
The council chamber was silent, all eyes on me as my words settled over the room like a thick fog.
"Lock down the pack," I repeated, my voice cold and final. "No one leaves, no one enters."
Elder Tobias nodded, but I could see the hesitation in his gaze. "Alpha, this could cause unrest. The pack is already shaken by the Luna's death—"
"Good," I cut him off, my jaw tight. "Let them be shaken. Let them understand that betrayal in this pack is met with blood."
No one dared to argue.
I turned on my heel, leaving the chamber without another word. Michael was waiting outside, leaning against the wall, arms crossed. He looked up when he saw me.
"They agreed?" he asked.
"They didn't have a choice." I started walking, and he fell into step beside me.
"Where do we start?"
I didn't hesitate. "The kitchen."
