They didn't linger and followed Yumi inside.
Tanjiro curiously asked Ryuji, "Ryuji-senpai, what were you talking about with Yumi?"
"Yeah, yeah! Come clean! Were you secretly hitting on the granddaughter?" Zenitsu, also curious, pressed closer, intensely interested in what happened between Ryuji and Yumi.
Ryuji instantly flicked Zenitsu's forehead, causing him to recoil, clutching his head.
"I just asked about the wisteria crest. Yumi's family was saved by the Demon Slayer Corps, so they provide assistance to Demon Slayers in return. Wisteria repels {demons}, so they planted wisteria trees, which became their family crest," Ryuji calmly explained to Tanjiro.
Tanjiro now understood why the crow had led them here.
Disappointed by the lack of juicy gossip, Zenitsu approached Yumi, persistently asking, "Yumi-san, Ryuji-senpai really wasn't hitting on you?"
"No," Yumi replied politely, surprised by Zenitsu's persistence.
Tanjiro, fed up, pulled Zenitsu back, saying, "Zenitsu, you think Ryuji-senpai is like you! You can't keep your eyes off girls!"
"Even if Ryuji-senpai doesn't initiate, with his looks, he'd probably get hit on! I have to keep an eye on him for Aoi; I can't let him be easily seduced," Zenitsu retorted.
Ryuji agreed with the first part, but not the second. He wouldn't be easily seduced like Zenitsu.
Zenitsu actually compared himself to Ryuji! Ryuji simply smiled faintly.
Yumi, however, was offended. While she admitted Ryuji was attractive, she wasn't the type to pursue handsome men.
She stopped, turned, and glared at Zenitsu, scolding, "You idiot!"
Zenitsu was stunned, looking at Ryuji and Tanjiro, asking, "Ryuji-senpai, Tanjiro, what's wrong with Yumi-san? Why did she call me an idiot? Did I do something wrong?"
Yumi, still angry, quickened her pace.
Tanjiro was also confused, shaking his head at Zenitsu.
Only Ryuji understood the situation. He smiled knowingly at Zenitsu, patting his shoulder, "Zenitsu, remember: loose lips sink ships!"
