Ryuji followed Yumi.
Yumi, observing Ryuji's demeanor, found herself increasingly drawn to him.
However, knowing he had a fiancée and was a Demon Slayer, she realized he couldn't always be with her.
Therefore, she chose to gradually forget him rather than pursue a hopeless affection.
Tanjiro, no longer dwelling on Yumi's outburst at Zenitsu, followed Ryuji. It wasn't him she'd scolded.
Zenitsu, still confused, called out to Ryuji, "Ryuji-senpai, what did that mean?"
Inosuke approached Zenitsu, asking, "Want to warm up before dinner?"
Zenitsu, feeling threatened, immediately ran after Ryuji.
Yumi led them to a room with dinner already laid out on the table: four generous servings of tempura, rice, and miso soup.
The tempura was freshly fried; steam still rose from the plates.
"Please, have a seat. If you need anything, just call me. I'll be outside," Yumi gestured for them to enter.
Inosuke rushed in, choosing a seat and sitting down unceremoniously.
"Thank you, Yumi-san," Tanjiro said politely, following Ryuji and Zenitsu into the room.
Yumi nodded, closed the door after they entered, and waited outside.
Inosuke, clearly starving, began eating his portion before the others.
Tanjiro placed the {fog cloud fir} box in the corner, sat opposite Ryuji, and said politely, "Ryuji-senpai, please go ahead."
With their master absent, Ryuji, as the senior, took the place of an elder; Tanjiro waited for him to start eating before doing so himself.
Zenitsu, while not their fellow disciple, out of respect for Ryuji and his upbringing, also waited for him.
Ryuji nodded at Tanjiro and began eating.
Inosuke ate without paying attention to the others.
Except for Zenitsu, who found Inosuke's eating habits off-putting, Ryuji and Tanjiro ignored him.
After dinner, Yumi came in to clear the dishes.
While she was cleaning, Yumi's grandmother arrived with a doctor, who examined everyone.
Everyone except Ryuji was injured.
Inosuke was the worst, with both internal and external injuries. The doctor discovered four broken ribs—two broken by Tanjiro's punch. Tanjiro had three broken ribs; surprisingly, Zenitsu had two broken ribs as well.
