Chapter 67 - Chapter 67: What’s It Like to Be Turned into a Pig by a Professor?

Chapter 67: What's It Like to Be Turned into a Pig by a Professor?

Dylan was enveloped by Professor McGonagall's magic, and his vision suddenly turned upside down.

His once relatively level gaze could now only look up at Professor McGonagall's face.

The ordinary desk now loomed before him like a towering cliff.

Dylan reflexively wanted to raise his hand, but saw two short, pink, rather wrinkle-free, and quite plump pig trotters waving in front of him.

Dylan was completely dumbfounded, his mind blank.

He hurriedly opened his mouth, wanting Professor McGonagall to reverse the transfiguration.

However, all that came out was a "oink oink."

Hearing this strange sound, Dylan shuddered all over in shock, his ears drooping in fright.

Dylan tried to move, but his short legs were as soft as noodles. He had barely taken a step when he fell flat on his face with a "thump."

He quickly gestured towards Professor McGonagall, but his clumsy trotters wouldn't obey his commands at all, flailing wildly in the air.

"Oink oink!"

Professor McGonagall watched Dylan, who had turned into a piglet, tumbling back and forth on the ground, trying to stand up. She couldn't help but smile, her eyebrows arching, the seriousness on her face completely gone. Her laughter was clear and bright, echoing in the office.

"Dylan, don't panic."

Professor McGonagall said with a smile as she waved her wand, muttering, "It's rare to have such a special scene, let me keep a memento."

"Swish!"

Instantly, a small, exquisite magical camera appeared in the air.

As soon as it appeared, it immediately adjusted its angle, aiming its lens at the still frantically struggling piglet Dylan.

"Whoosh!"

The magical camera flew in front of Dylan, darting back and forth around him.

"Click!"

"Click!"

The camera continuously captured Dylan's movements, the shutter clicking automatically.

Dylan tried to dodge, but it was completely futile. Instead, the camera captured many comical and embarrassing poses of him.

In the end, Dylan simply gave up.

Moving his short legs, he turned his head away, covering his face with his two little trotters, and pointed his rear towards the corner, sticking out his little pig bottom.

He was numb, whatever happened, happened!

"Oink oink!"

Seeing this, Professor McGonagall smiled.

With a wave of her wand, the magical camera floated to her.

Photos fluttered out of the camera one by one.

Professor McGonagall reached out and caught them, her lips curving into a wide smile as she looked at the adorable Dylan in the pictures.

She gently raised her wand and waved it gracefully in the air.

"Vera Verto!"

In an instant, the magical light enveloped Dylan again.

The light shimmered, and Dylan's body began to change, finally returning to human form.

Dylan, freed from the effects of the Transfiguration Charm, was still sitting on the floor.

Looking at his restored hands, Dylan's face was flushed red, but at this moment, he also made a firm decision.

"I must! I must learn magic to a higher level!!!"

From now on, he would get up at three in the morning!

As long as he didn't die from studying, he would study to his death's door!!

Dylan was a little sulky. Professor McGonagall had gone too far.

How could she turn him into a pig?

Seeing that Dylan still seemed to be in a huff, Professor McGonagall pursed her lips, trying to suppress the smile on her face, but no matter what, she couldn't stop the corners of her mouth from turning upwards.

She gently waved her wand, and Dylan immediately felt a magical force lifting his body, helping him stand up from the floor.

Professor McGonagall walked over and gently patted his shoulder.

"This is also an unforgettable experience, both for you and for me. It's the first time I've dueled with a first-year student using the Transfiguration Charm, and turned him into a piglet."

Dylan: "...Professor McGonagall!"

Professor McGonagall smiled, pulled out a chair, and motioned for Dylan to sit down.

"Alright, I won't tease you anymore."

She walked to the opposite side of Dylan and sat down in a chair as well.

"During the process of being transfigured, you could also feel the magic of the Transfiguration Charm acting on your body, right?"

Hearing this, Dylan was taken aback, then after a moment of thought, he nodded.

Professor McGonagall smiled gently, the fine lines at the corners of her eyes softening a lot.

"I'm actually telling the truth, Dylan. This experience is absolutely precious wealth for you."

"This time, you have truly experienced the entire process of the Transfiguration Charm being applied to a human body."

"When you are enveloped by the spell and your body changes under the force of magic, you can truly feel the flow and reshaping of magic. This will elevate your understanding of the Transfiguration Charm from book knowledge to personal experience."

"In your future studies of the Transfiguration Charm, you can recall today's feelings more often. That way, you can better grasp the measure and application of magic."

"Remember, every transfiguration is a precise manipulation of magic and a deep exploration of the essence of magic."

Professor McGonagall patted Dylan's shoulder again, a look of reminiscence appearing on her face.

"When my teacher was teaching me the Transfiguration Charm, he even turned me into a... cough cough!"

Professor McGonagall almost let slip, but thankfully, she stopped in time.

Dylan, however, looked at Professor McGonagall expectantly, very eager to know the answer. "Was your Transfiguration Charm teacher Headmaster Dumbledore?"

Professor McGonagall coughed dryly, avoiding the topic. "Yes, in any case, although I could have simply dispelled your spell, I still applied the Transfiguration Charm to you in order to let you personally feel the power of transfiguration."

"This will help you better learn your Animagus form later."

"Besides, we were having a magical duel, weren't we?"

"Yes, we were," Dylan said, the corner of his mouth twitching. "But I don't want my Animagus form to be a pig..."

Professor McGonagall's chest shook with laughter. "Don't worry, just because I turned you into something doesn't mean that's what you'll turn into yourself."

Dylan breathed a sigh of relief.

Although his Transfiguration Charm proficiency had reached level seven, it was precisely because he hadn't learned to become an Animagus that he hadn't yet reached level eight.

And it wasn't that he didn't want to learn his Animagus form; it was because Professor McGonagall believed he should learn it only after firmly grasping the magical theory and having a solid practical foundation.

Dylan agreed with this point.

After all, judging from the Hogwarts curriculum, students need to master Transfiguration knowledge of at least the fifth or sixth year level before they can have the preliminary conditions to learn to become an Animagus.

And this was just a preliminary condition.

Because the Animagus transformation process is extremely complex, even one mistake can lead to serious consequences.

Therefore, the Ministry of Magic is very strict about the registration and management of Animagi, and requires wizards to undergo lengthy study, training, and assessment to ensure they can skillfully and safely perform this magic before they can officially register as an Animagus.

So, because Dylan hadn't tried transforming into his Animagus form, he still didn't know what creature he would actually become.

He hoped it wasn't that oinking fellow from just now...
