Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: Achievement Earned: Attack Professor (II)

Chapter 68: Achievement Earned: Attack Professor (II)

Feeling the lingering effects of the transfiguration, Dylan nodded at Professor McGonagall.

"Thank you for your trouble."

Dylan's mood was strange as he thanked her.

He had clearly been turned into a pig, yet he still had to thank the person who did it for doing it well...

Was there still any justice in this world? Any law?

After leaving Professor McGonagall's office, Dylan walked along the corridor, checking the achievement system prompts.

[Message]: You bold and wicked little wizard, you actually cast the Transfiguration Charm at Professor McGonagall!

[Message]: You have achieved a new achievement!

"Uh..."

Dylan had originally intended to directly check whether his refinement task had been completed.

As a result, the system immediately popped up a notification that he had completed an achievement.

He cleared his throat, walked along the wall, and looked at the system panel.

——————

[Achievement]: Attack Professor (II)

[Description]: Don't think no one knows your little thoughts. Actually, you just wanted to deform the professor into a monster, right? But, this idea is absolutely fantastic! Go practice even harder and strive to fulfill your long-cherished wish soon! [Unlock Requirement]: Cast the Transfiguration Charm at a Hogwarts professor with the intention of turning them into a deformed monster.

[Achievement Reward]: Max-level Intermediate Spell +1 ——————

"..."

Had it gone mad? What on earth was the system trying to do with this description? He had no intention of turning Professor McGonagall into some grotesque creature! "And this unlock requirement is too..."

Just as Dylan was about to complain, the moment he saw the achievement reward, he immediately shut his mouth.

"This time it actually rewarded a max-level intermediate spell? Nice!"

Forget it. Anyway, he didn't have that thought, so why bother about the system's misunderstanding of him?

As long as he got the reward! Dylan looked up at the system panel, and then his mind moved.

He instantly felt as if he were at the very end of the universe.

The darkness was boundless, with only one star overhead radiating dazzling brilliance.

As Dylan looked up at it, suddenly, the star flickered, shook violently, and burst forth with brilliant light. Streams of light falling from the star plunged into his body.

The next moment, Dylan heard the faint and dense flapping of wings coming from afar.

In the blink of an eye, the sky was obscured by a flock of birds.

They surrounded Dylan, the starlight piercing through the gaps in the flock, the scattered light resembling tiny bright sequins.

Dylan raised his head, his gaze following each bird. More and more birds gathered, sometimes forming a winding dragon, sometimes transforming into galloping steeds.

He was in the midst of it all, his hair flying wildly in the air currents, his clothes rustling loudly.

[Message]: Congratulations on mastering the max-level spell - Bird-Conjuring Charm!

"A summoning charm?"

Having already gained a certain degree of mastery and understanding of the Transfiguration Charm, Dylan had also learned summoning charms.

Therefore, he was no stranger to the Bird-Conjuring Charm.

However, now that this spell had directly reached max level for him, the faint, ethereal feeling he had when casting Bird-Conjuring Charm before had disappeared.

What replaced it was a close connection with the birds, as if a mental bond had been established.

Dylan could clearly feel that each bird was like an extension of his body.

With just a thought, he could make the birds perform any reaction accurately.

Whether circling, diving, or forming various complex formations. This feeling of effortless control made Dylan deeply intoxicated, and an unprecedentedly strong sense of satisfaction arose, making him even want to transform into a bird and soar into the clouds.

In fact, Dylan had already raised his wand.

But soon, with a sharp and piercing bird cry, his whole body shook, and he suddenly woke up, his eyes regaining clarity, and the intoxicated look on his face gradually faded away.

Dylan couldn't help but feel a bit bewildered.

"Mastering a max-level spell can actually lead to getting lost?"

Recalling how he had just been completely immersed in the sensory stimulation brought by magic, even wanting to turn himself into a bird and fly high,

he couldn't help but feel a trace of lingering fear.

"Was that bird cry a system prompt for me?"

Dylan's brow gradually furrowed.

He hadn't experienced this kind of situation when he mastered so many max-level spells before.

Yet now, a Bird-Conjuring Charm had almost made him lose himself. Dylan couldn't help but ponder.

"Even though I tried my best to overestimate the power of transfiguration, I still underestimated it."

He shook his head, his gaze becoming firm. "I learn magic to make magic a tool for me to achieve my goals, not a master to control me!"

Dylan took a few deep breaths, calming the emotions in his heart, and was about to check if the refinement task had been completed.

Not far ahead, a sudden commotion arose.

Dylan looked up and ran into Malfoy and Neville in the corridor.

"That's my Remembrall, give it back!"

Neville's face was flushed as he anxiously reached out, trying to snatch back the Remembrall that Malfoy held high.

But Malfoy had a mocking look on his face, waving the Remembrall above Neville's head.

He said with a sneering tone, "Look what we have here? The Longbottom family heirloom, or is it a treasure that reminds you just how stupid you are?"

Seeing that Neville couldn't reach the Remembrall in his hand, Malfoy laughed even more肆无忌惮 (sìwújìdàn - unrestrainedly).

"You think you're worthy of being friends with Potter? A guy who still uses a Remembrall? What, are you trying to use this thing to remember where you left your brain?"

"Don't be ridiculous. Maybe if you shake it, something useful might fall out of your empty head! Don't waste your energy. Even if you get it back, you still won't remember how to learn magic properly, you natural idiot!"

Neville was both angry and anxious, jumping up to grab it, but missing every time.

Malfoy became a little impatient, giving Neville a hard push and simultaneously freeing one hand to draw his wand directly. "Locomotor Mortis!"

Dylan frowned. Without even using his wand, he instantly cast the Bird-Conjuring Charm.

"Swish!"

In an instant, a swift bird whistled out of thin air, leaving a phantom image in the air as it flew straight towards Malfoy's face.

Malfoy was just about to teach Neville a lesson and hadn't expected such a sudden turn of events at all.

The bird slammed into his face, and Malfoy immediately let out a scream.

His body instinctively staggered backward a few steps, and the wand and Remembrall in his hand fell due to the sudden impact, the Leg-Locker Curse instantly broken.

Seeing this, Neville quickly grabbed the Remembrall, preventing it from falling to the ground.

However, Malfoy's wand fell to the ground with a "thwack."

Neville looked up at Dylan walking towards them, a look of surprise appearing on his flushed cheeks.

"Dylan!"
