"Kael Sinclair," Kael's name rang out in the music room. It was time for his audition.
"Guess that's the cue for me to stop rambling about myself, I guess…" Eriq said, scratching the back of his neck as he stood upright from the wall he had been resting against.
"No, no, no…" Kael said, shaking his head as he looked at Eriq with a soft smile. "You weren't rambling at all. Honestly, you've been good company—kept me entertained instead of just staring at a row of chairs and wack instruments. Though, you did make me miss focusing on some good ones."
"Ah…" Eriq chuckled, blushing deeply. His legs might have been kicking the air if he hadn't been composing himself quite well.
"So," Eriq started, "do you mind exchanging contact info?"
"Ah…" Kael laughed lightly at his words, pushing his hair back with a calm tone. "I mean, if you're okay being friends, I'm fine with it."
"Don't worry, I'll be your friend but I'll make you buckle along the way," Eriq joked with a hearty smile.
