"You're joking." Kaelith laughed, licking the sides of the spoon, now covered in melted ice cream.
Caius dropped his spoon onto the table, the clink sharp. He stared hard at Kael and said firmly, "No, I'm not."
"Eh? Why then?" Kaelith's expression sharpened as he fixed his eyes on Caius.
'What is this guy's deal…? He's doing way more than those who actually know my secret. Or maybe he's not quite, as Veyron could be considered much worse as I've got to be used as a food for him.. Ugh, I can't even digest all this today. I might not even be able to digest myself after he's sucked my blood dry…'
'Well, back to Caius…' he thought, turning his gaze back to him just as Caius spoke.
"I figured you were bothered that I didn't want to do anything, or ask anything even though I know you fooled the whole school, even if only a few people actually know. So, I thought I'd better do something that would put you in a tight spot and force you to act against your will… just for your sake."
