I can not help but notice the pitiful and mocking look some of the guests throw at me, as well as their whispers and many opinions on the type of person they think I am.
Several times, I caught Liriel smirking at me through the crowd.
Only a fool would think this was a mistake or a coincidence. It was none of those things! Even if… Let's say, based on some ridiculous logic, this was not a deliberate act from Liriel, she would have rushed back out to change. But no!
