"The Valley of the Gods!"
Ayr's eyes narrowed as he studied the information before him. Through deciphering four Poneglyphs, he had finally uncovered the crucial clue—the final destination.
The lost Ancient Weapon, Uranus, lay hidden within the Valley of the Gods!
"The Valley of the Gods?"
Ayr's lips curled into a knowing smirk.
Now, he finally understood why the Rocks Pirates had originally set their sights on the Valley of the Gods.
It wasn't just a reckless assault on the Celestial Dragons—it was a mission to seize one of the three Ancient Weapons.
However, Ayr also knew how this story would end.
No one would find Uranus.
And just as history recorded… Rocks would fall in the Valley of the Gods.
Shock Among the Rocks Pirates
"The Valley of the Gods?! Isn't that one of the Celestial Dragons' sacred lands?!"
Golden Lion's voice carried a rare trace of surprise.
The Celestial Dragons had two sacred places:
Holy Land Mariejois—the core of the World Government's power.
The Valley of the Gods—a secretive, nearly mythical location.
Unlike Mariejois, which was filled with an endless number of elite warriors, the Valley of the Gods had fewer defenders.
However, there was one major problem—its location was unknown.
"Only a handful of high-ranking Celestial Dragons even know where the Valley of the Gods is."
Silver Axe crossed his arms. "And now you're telling me it hides an Ancient Weapon?"
Ochoku frowned. "Even if we know where Uranus is… how do we even find the Valley of the Gods?"
Charlotte Linlin tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Unless we obtain the Eternal Pose that leads there… finding it in the vast New World would take a lifetime."
New World navigation was chaotic—the Grand Line's unpredictable nature made it nearly impossible to find a location without a fixed log pose.
At this moment, Rocks D. Xebec's expression shifted.
His lips curled into a devilish grin.
"The Valley of the Gods' Eternal Pose?"
He chuckled darkly.
"I believe… the Holy Land Mariejois should have one."
The Plan is Set
The entire room fell silent.
Mariejois—the headquarters of the World Government.
A fortress more impenetrable than any Marine base.
The sheer number of powerful individuals there surpassed even Marine Headquarters.
Even Golden Lion hesitated for a moment. "You're saying… we should sneak into Mariejois?"
Rocks nodded. "Holy Land Mariejois and the Valley of the Gods are both controlled by the Celestial Dragons. They must have navigational connections. If we want to find Uranus… we need that Eternal Pose."
A dangerous glint flashed in his eyes. "And I know exactly who's going to retrieve it."
He turned his gaze toward his strongest subordinates.
"Ayr, Whitebeard (Edward), Shiki, Linlin, Kaido—you five will infiltrate Mariejois and secure the Eternal Pose for me."
Kaido, still relatively young at this time, clenched his fists.
He had joined the Rocks Pirates as an apprentice, but the influence of warriors like Ayr had forced even him to push himself beyond his limits.
Under Charlotte Linlin's brutal training, Kaido had survived grueling tests—tests that had shaped him into the monster he would later become.
Now, he was no longer an apprentice.
He was a full-fledged Rocks Pirate officer.
A Dangerous Mission
Silver Axe smirked. "Well, well… Captain Rocks certainly has a lot of faith in you five. Make sure you don't disappoint him."
John chuckled. "Yeah, what an honor! Since you're so important, you better not mess up!"
In truth, neither Silver Axe nor John wanted to go anywhere near Mariejois.
Everyone knew—this was a suicide mission.
The base of the World Government wasn't just guarded by Marines—it was protected by the Five Elders, the Holy Knights, and possibly even Imu, the true ruler of the world.
This wasn't just a dangerous mission.
This was a trip to hell itself.
And there was no guarantee any of them would return.
John secretly prayed that Ayr and the others wouldn't make it back alive.
Golden Lion's Counterplay
Golden Lion snorted, crossing his arms.
"Tch. Captain Rocks, sending just the five of us? Wouldn't it be better to send John and Silver Axe too? After all, the more people we have, the easier it'll be to find the Eternal Pose."
Silver Axe's expression twitched instantly.
"Yeah, Captain! John and Silver Axe are reliable! More manpower means faster results!" Charlotte Linlin added, flashing an eerie smile.
Both John and Silver Axe's faces paled.
Silver Axe spoke up immediately. "Shiki, Linlin… you five are Captain Rocks' most trusted warriors. You don't need our help!"
John nodded furiously. "Yeah! With Ayr, Whitebeard, and Kaido, this mission is already guaranteed to succeed! No need for extras!"
They were desperate to avoid going.
Rocks watched their exchange with amusement.
Then, with his hands clasped behind his back, he said something that immediately changed the atmosphere.
The Reward
"There will be a reward."
The room fell silent again.
Golden Lion's eyes sharpened. "A reward?"
Rocks smirked. "Whoever retrieves the Eternal Pose from Mariejois… will have first pick of the treasures in the Valley of the Gods."
Golden Lion froze for a moment.
Then, his trademark grin returned.
"Jihahahaha! Captain Rocks, you should've started with that! You can count on me, Shiki! I'll bring back the Eternal Pose!"
Charlotte Linlin laughed wickedly. "Mamamama… You have my word, Captain. We won't fail."
The Valley of the Gods wasn't just a Celestial Dragon sanctuary—it was home to unimaginable wealth.
The richest nobles in the world had hoarded centuries worth of treasure there.
And whoever retrieved the Eternal Pose first would get the first pick of all that wealth.
A Hidden Agenda
Of course, neither Golden Lion nor Charlotte Linlin had any intention of handing Uranus over to Rocks.
Both of them had already made their own calculations.
"If we find Uranus first…"
They exchanged a knowing glance.
"...we'll take it and disappear before Rocks ever finds out."
The mission was set.
And with each pirate harboring their own ambitions, the path to Mariejois—and eventually, the Valley of the Gods—had begun.
