NATHAN'S POV
I woke up immediately, alert. It was morning—the time for the wedding. If this pulled through, there was no way he would be able to escape from her anymore. I needed to intervene. I needed to do something fast.
I looked around and, as expected, I was still in the cottage I had been taken to. Other than saving Derrick, I also needed to save myself. After this, she would not hesitate to kill me, and I surely would not like that.
My body ached as I moved to rise to my feet. The bed had a nasty smell that made it impossible to have a good night's rest. Everything sucked here, and it got me thinking—were they really meeting here and having sex?
Wasn't she disgusted?
It didn't matter. I didn't want to think about the two of them. What mattered was finding my way out of here and stopping that wedding. I rushed to the door, but it was locked tight. I pulled and pulled on it, but nothing. I kicked it, but there was still nothing. It was locked tight.
