Mia paused as she looked at the portrait in front of her and understood that it was probably set by the nurse and the doctors for the nurse who fell into the hands of the serial killer.
With a sigh, Mia glanced at the woman whose green eyes became the cause of her death. She was about to head right into the hospital after praying for the departed soul of the victim when she felt someone tug her sleeves. Startled, she looked down at the little girl who was holding a basket of white lilies in her hands.
"How can I help you?" Mia asked politely.
"Would you be kind enough to buy a lily, Miss?" the little girl spoke to Mia with a smile on her lips. She didn't seem too old, but the little girl had a way to make her business boom, for Mia heard her say in a soft voice, "The soul of the departed would be at ease upon seeing so many people feeling sorry for her and praying for her peace. Especially after such a brutal death."
