Kieran's POV
The blood rage was coming. I could feel it growing inside me, hot and wild, like a storm about to break. But this time, something was different.
I stood on the battlefield in my wolf form, bigger than any normal dog. My black fur was streaked with silver moonlight. Around me, the pack leaders of the seven Legacy Packs waited for my order.
"Alpha Kieran," growled Thorne, the head of the Mountain Pack. "The shadow creatures are closing in. What are your orders?"
I looked around at the chaos. Sienna and her twin brother Zeke stood wrapped in that strange purple flame. Nearby, Ronan had changed somehow—his body changing between shadow and solid form.
And above us all, the sky was tearing open.
"We fight," I said, my voice carrying across the battlefield. "We fight for balance."
It was time to show what the Legacy Packs could do.
The shadow creatures struck in waves, their dark bodies moving like smoke. But we were ready.
