Kieran's POV
My body ached with wounds that would take days to heal, even with my Alpha skills. But I didn't care. Sienna was living. That was all that mattered.
The battlefield around us looked like something from a nightmare. Trees burned with dying ruby fire. Dead shadow creatures melted into black puddles. My wolves moved among the injured, helping those they could.
And in the middle of it all, Sienna knelt beside the fallen vampire prince.
Jealousy burned in my chest, hotter than any of my wounds. I pushed it down. Now wasn't the time.
"Get him to the healer's tent," I told two of my strongest pack members. They paused only a moment before lifting Caius's unconscious body.
Sienna looked up at me, her eyes glowing softly with ruby light. "Kieran..."
My name on her lips felt like coming home. I'd spent so long hunting her, then protecting her, and now...
"You're hurt," she said, rising to her feet.
