We stayed there for a while before Baurbius lost his mind again and knocked us out.
When I came to, I was in my bed and as much as I wanted to write everything off as a bad dream, Kashar was in my living room.
He looked relaxed, eating fruits away like we had not just been kidnapped by literal gods.
"What are you doing?" I finally managed.
"Recovering." He didn't turn to look at me, just kept eating his apple without a care in the world.
"Where is Nicole?"
He shrugged. "Still with them."
"Then why did they let us go?" I asked.
"Do you genuinely think that there is anything we can do against them? We are not on their radar so they let us go, be grateful for that."
"She is still with them." I said.
"Go get her then."
"They will kill me." I stared at him in disbelief.
"Then be grateful you made it out and live your life."
That was it. I had enough of this.
