I prayed my parents would have no reason to come back and meet my dead body or something like that. Who was I even praying to?

We needed to find a way to get into the city, but people were not just allowed into the city, meaning we had to sneak in without being caught. I was not one for creaking and I doubted that Kashar would be able to stay quiet for a while.
My parents went into the city almost all the time, they worked there so it was necessary.
"So, how do we get in there?" Kashar asked while munching out of his new favorite snack, an apple.
"I do not know." I admitted. My parents had permission, they were known so the guards protecting the gates knew to let them pass whenever they went. But not me.
And I doubted that the guards would believe me if I just told them that I was their son.
"Are you sure you can not fly?" I asked Kashar.
"Nope, I do not have my dragons anymore." He said without looking up.
