Chapter 1 - [ PROLOGUE: FOR HONOR! ]

[ PROLOGUE: FOR HONOR! ]

[ "WAAAAGHH!" ] A 7ft tall Viking dressed in tattered but traditional clothes, filled to the brin with ornaments could be seen screaming as he watches his opponents moving in front.

The said Viking could be seen holding an axe— a Skeggöx also called as the Bearded Axe. A single headed tall axe that could be seen rusting in some parts.

On his other hand is a shield engraved with his viking tribe on the front, two axes clashing with one another in bright dark red colors.

Ready to attack and confident in his strength, he was then caught off guard when his face was met with the hilt of his opponent's sword— a Longsword that hit him squire on the face.

[ "Shut the hell up!" ] His opponent, Arthur, our protagonist couldn't help but show his blatant disgust towards his opponent.

He also showed this through him punching the man with a right hook to the face; shutting the brother down for some time.

Sending the Viking Hero flying, he then focused on the other parts of the battlefield wherein smaller warriors both for Vikings, Samurais, and his Knight Faction are fighting in.

[ "Ughh- disgusting fucks, get away!" ]

He went on and grabbed a confident small Viking nearby in the head, and throw the man to the side with ease; inturn saving a Knight NPC from getting himself slaughterered.

The Viking screams was drowned out by the warfare going all-around as the 3 Factions continued on to fight one another. No reason at all, just for the sake of battle— this is a mere great game after all.

[ "Thank you, ser!" ] The Knight spoke in an old accent, in a language that Arthur shouldn't understand.

But in picking the Knight Faction, it did bring benefits, one of it is gaining the approval of the Knights, and also understanding their language.

Arthur didn't spoke, and just nodded his head as a sign of respect. As he then moves into another spot in the battlefield, not at all bothered by the fact that organs and blood could be seen raining every where.

As 150 Knights, 150 Vikings, and 150 Samurais alongside their respective Faction Heroes fight for dwindling supplies— in this case, food supplies that would last each of their homes about a year... If not, then starvation; at the least that's the story he read about for this certain campaign.

He would have felt pity, or even disgust. But remembered that there is no people beyond the life-like creation of the System. As this place is primarily created for him to farm experience in, he being the Player.

He did what he have to, and moved up to the nearest fight he could see. A Samurai and Viking who's in a standstill. Both bleeding, both about to die.

To Arthur that's a bad thing, if they both died against one another's weapon, then he wouldn't gain any experience. Seeing the chance, he sliced the both of them in half with ease; their blood painting his armor.

Which he didn't mind, even though the smell is horrible. Though some have already dried now. He didn't mind, as after this level the game would reset, and his Character would then be cleaned. Cleaned as new.

He noticed his sword getting drenched in blood, not wanting that, he then grabbed the split in half man's cleaned cloth and cleaned his sword using it.

Before then continuing to look at the chaotic mess that is called the battlefield.

[ "ᚠᛟᚱ ᚡᚨᛚᚺᚨᛚᛚᚨ!" ]

[ "For the Lord!" ]

[ "大名のために!" ]

Varying war chants could be heard, as steel clash with one another, and as blood flows drenching the virgin soil below; the water then being tainted as they all fought near an old castle, one ravaged by time.

[ "Ser Arthur, we need to go!" ] A fellow Knight Hero noticed Arthur in a dazed, as he then pulled him out of it. Panicked in his voice before then running to battle, one wherein a Samurai Hero cutting down his men are in.

Arthur— the Player, didn't pay any attention to this mess. The experience he could gain in fighting a Lvl. 1 Hero would be about 250. But in killing 20 no-named Lvl. 1 warriors he would gain about the same, plus more.

So he chose the easier of the two options— killing mobs. As he then moves on, letting the other Heroes be dealt with by the other Heroes, as they aren't worth his time at all.

[ "我々は皆ここで死ぬ.だから,愛する者のために戦-!" ] Seeing a group of Samurais, about 23 a the very least for easy picking; Arthur barged in like a tank, no care at all as he grabs the nearest of the warriors, before then crushing the man's skull in his hands.

The wriggling stopped, as he then let it go, flopping into the floor. For a second none spoke, none even dared to speak. As the behemoth of a man, that is Arthur's Avatar loomed over the Samurais who's a head or two smaller than him.

The silence only stopping when one of the nearest Samurai got over his fear, unsheathing his Katana before then screaming as he then tries to stab the Knight Hero— whose a villain in their eyes.

Grunting, he let the sword pierce his armor and hit him in the side. This causing blood to flow out, a little compared to the blood drenched all-over his previously white, now red armor. He was then pushed back, only by a little, but still commendable worthy.

This stopping when he swung his hundred pound heavy Longsword down onto the man's head, cleaving the poor hapless Samurai into two. As the notification then signalled him of the man's death, if his state wasn't enough.

This seemingly didn't stop the other Samurai as they all charged in against him. A literal 21v1. 21 competent and highly trained warriors in the art of being a Samurai vs. a 23-year-old killed masquerading as a Knight. Is a Knight, but have no training in being one...

So who do you think would win? My money is on the Vikings, if you didn't know, then now you do.

He look to his left and noticed a few Samurais charging, seeing this, he then threw the body he is holding into them. Causing some to hit the ground with a thud, their helmets dropping and armor clanking in turn.

Multitasking in this parade, Arthur the Knight swong his sword widely and decapitated a warrior. The notification he hears in his ear, the sound that only he could hear, making him more and more bloodthirsty in each swing.

Pulling the Katana stuck in his abdomen, he could feel a tinge bit of pain. One of the downsides of having a Character in the world created by the System.

Ignoring it, he then threw it and hit a nearby occupied Viking in the head, killing the warrior in turn, and subconsciously also saving a hapless Samurai.

Seeing that his karma with the Samurais are good, he then went on and lowered it for himself. As he grabbed the hilt of his heavy sword, motioning it to point at the incoming warriors; before then skewering 3 of the Samurais as he runs...

Noticing that their is only two notifications, he became confused, but his question was then answered as he hears a man cursing at him from the tip of his sword. He looked up, quickly noticing the fact that sure, the Samurai was indeed poke in the abdomen... But it is still alive.

He stomped on the ground hard, causing it to have a dent. This made his violent charge stop, giving the other Samurais who's chasing him to get their hits in.

Ignoring them, Arthur pulled the men out of his sword, before then stomping hard on all 3 of them— causing the wailing and cursing from the bottom to stop abruptly.

He even though is currently being stabbed, causing his Character's health to dwindle by each swing, still ignored it. As he more on focuses on his work, as he looks down at his armor's feet... Bathed in membrane.

[ "死ね,幽霊!" ] Annoyed by the constant stabbing, he then swung his sword flailing 6 warriors inturn. Causing the System's notification to flair about wildly.

Unluckily, about 3 of the Samurais didn't got cut, and are now instead on the ground. Looking up at him in tears. Feeling a slight bit of pity in them, Arthur did them a favor and stepped on their head hard...

Ending the NPCs suffering in a world that is created in mere seconds, by cosmic beings not known to them, beautiful but deceiving.

As the NPC Warriors is only created with one thing in mind, and that is for fighting, war, and then death if they are lucky.

The memories that they have of their own home, a life. Engraved by the System in them, to make them have personalities. A uniqueness that separates them from the other millions of millions of blank NPCs.

After this game, they wouldn't even realize that they died. As if Arthur, the Player loads up another campaign. Then some of them who's picked by the System, would then spawn in; nonethewiser on what happened to them in the previous campaign.

That is the horror that the System created just for them, just for the Player like Arthur to level-up in this messy place...

What a wonder. You either do this or not level-up at all, which in turn would make you wholly unprepared for the Monthly System Missions. That borderlines on chaotic to outright devastation for him.

He either wins, which he haven't done yet for more than 3 months now, and get rewards that even he wouldn't dream on about. Or lose, and not gain anything at all, something which has been happening to him in the span of 3 months— thrice now.

[ "ᚠᛟᚱ ᚡᚨᛚᚺᚨᛚᛚᚨ!" ]

[ "大名のために!" ]

[ "For the Lord!" ]

Sighting to himself, Arthur could see the Viking Faction, the Knight Faction, and the Samurai Faction alongside their respective Heroes rushing to where he is. Having a three-way fight, as this signals for the game nearing its end.

Stabbing his sword on the ground, he then stretches his joints and neck, before then the final fight ensues. Grabbing his Longsword, he then pointed it at a nearby rushing Viking Hero. [ VIKING HERO LVL. 2 ]

The carcass of his fellow Knight Hero being grabbed by its throat, seemingly being a trophy to this no-named tank of an NPC. Then throwing the body to the side without care, this monster in seeing him then pulled out twin axes before jumping to where Arthur is standing at.

Arthur on the other hand, whose shaped by the battlefield is ready for a squabble. As he watches the incoming warrior with glee. Seeing that it's Lvl. 2, he would then get about 400 in experience... Something worthwhile at the very least.

But his gaze seems to notice something in his peripheral, ducking his towering body in reflexes. And right he did as he hears a blade cleaving right through the air.

Turning his head around, he could see the Samurai Hero decorated in high-quality armor looking down at him. Before then kicking him in the back sending him flying.

[ "WAAAAGHH!" ] Flying near the Viking Hero that tried to stab him in the back of the head, dodging this, the barbarian then swung his other axe; this one causing the Knight to wince in pain, as it hits his non-dominant shoulder, drawing blood.

Annoyed by this Arthur punched the Viking in the face, sending the man flying into some Samurai corpses. Immediately standing up right after.

Then focusing his gaze on the other Hero, he noticed that the Samurai is watching him very closely his Katana pulled out, as it then looks to the side. Seeing that this isn't a threat, he then focused on where the Samurai is looking at— at the Viking.

The Viking Hero could be seen pissed off, his helmet cracked slightly before then removing it in a huff. This one's gaze focused on both the Knight Hero, and at the Samurai Hero...

Having done this dance a thousand times before, Arthur didn't worry, as he then stabs his sword on the ground, seemingly waiting for something... That would be the System initiating the three-way duel.
