[ Chapter I (1): "FOR FOOD, FOR GLORY, AND FOR HONOR!" ]

[ SAMURAI HERO LVL. 2 KILLED! ]

[ +400 EXPERIENCE TO PLAYER ]

[ VIKING HERO LVL. 2 KILLED! ]

[ +400 EXPERIENCE TO PLAYER ]

Arthur out of breath, limbs broken, and ribs partially destroyed could feel every single wounds inflicted on him.

A stab in the leg causing it to bleed by the Samurai Hero, and his fingers cut off by the Viking Hero. Both of the said chosen and highly skilled Champions lying on the ground nearby, dead, without life as repayment to what they did to the Knight Champion— the Player.

The remaining Warriors of each Faction could be seen fighting not far-away, fighting more of like a one-sided slaughter as the Knight Faction due to the increase in moral went about and killed any and all fleeding Vikings, and Samurais that they could see, cutting them all down without mercy.

So is the game, as tradition. The losing Faction gets killed, each and every single one of them as the Stage gets cleared, before then continuing on the next stage.

Thankfully for them, and for Arthur, this is the 25th and last Stage for this Campaign. Leading it to end, with their victory.

[ CONGRATULATIONS PLAYER, THE KNIGHT FACTION WON THE "FOR FOOD, FOR GLORY, AND FOR HONOR!" CAMPAIGN ]

[ DOMINANT FACTION: KNIGHT ]

As the last one of the enemies was killed, the Knights officially won. 300 enemies lay dead both from the Vikings and Samurais along with their Heroes, with the casualties on Arthur's side about 134 including the 2 Heroes that perished along the way.

Not that he care though, they'll just respawn and do the same gimmick for the next Campaign. Which is cool, but it became boring after some time, especially with it repeating with little to no change at all.

He lays there panting out of breath, his wounds graved and unnatural to the point that one would even question how it could be plausible.

His armor layed broken, his Longsword bloodied by blood and dirtied by soil, it being broken from the fighting. The hilt, long gone from all the bashing he'd done to the Viking Hero especially.

His helmet destroyed, cut down and pulverized to pieces as his face is shown to the world. A more mature and brutal version of his original face, sharing all the same features as he has.

Dark hair that seems to not have known shower for years, even though he showers about once a day. Eyes in a hazelbrown color, and features smeared with dirt, blood, and scars. This is his Knight Avatar.

Not his original body, but is instead something he needs to put on whenever he goes inside the For Honor World, to play inside it.

He could take it away after going out though, or not, it is an Avatar after all.

In theory after finishing or fulfilling certain conditions, then he would be able to have a Viking Avatar, Samurai Avatar, or even an Avatar either from the Wu Lin Faction or Outlander Faction.

Both of the latter something he hadn't met yet in the span of his 3 months of playing the For Honor life-like game. Not that he wants to play against them, but it would be fun having variaties.

Not that he have the option at the moment, as he needs to finish and accomplish that Monthly Mission to at least play against them, something he wasn't able to do due to his lack of level, lack of skills, and lack of power.

I mean, can you fight 5 Heroes at once? You can't. That's what the Monthly Mission is, oftentimes you'll be placed in an Arena-like surroundings and forced to fight Warriors as further as you go up.

Obviously he hadn't completed it, as he always dies from getting ganged up— Jujutsu Kaisen style, beaten without mercy until his skull is turned to dust.

This infuriated him, especially because the last time was just three days ago, and he got ganged up by some Viking freaks, kicking him in a circle and then stabbing him in the back. Playing with him, he swear, he would kill and brutalized all and any Vikings he meet because of this encounter.

So explained the reason why the nearby dead Viking Hero have his skull bashed in by his Longsword's hilt, the hilt nearby destroyed also, covered in brain goo.

Arthur watches on the battlefield, as the Knights cheer on in victory, before then going to the carcasses of the fallen to steal and claim what is now theirs. With limited resources, you can't blame them, especially because those items that their foes carry is worth about more than they could earn in a year guarding a castle, or a wall.

Arthur didn't mind, as in a few seconds they would all disappear... Like now. [ "System, log me off." ] When his raspy voice was heard by the System, it did so what it was ordered, as the broad horizons gets overtaken by bluecodes rendering the sun, the trees, the grass, everything back into nothingness— white canvas.

That white canvas reached the remaining Knights and then they slowly disappeared. Knights that are burying the fallen, gone. Knights fighting for an equipment, gone. Knights mourning the loss, gone. As the Stage resets, all characters disappears.

Arthur looked slightly behind him, then at the front, then at his left and finally to his right. The System Reset in perfect formation cleaned everything, before lastly, it collided to where Arthur is sitting on; causing everything on Arthur to disappear.

The bloodied armor, the wounds and pain inflicted on him, the sword of his and even the feature that his Character has on. All of which disappeared as his 7ft tall stature goes back to normal height, about 5'9.

His fierce and pained expression going back to joy as he smiles to himself, his normal clothes, civilians clothes— a white plain t-shirt and grey joggers fitting back to his body as he embraces finally getting out of that bloody Campaign.

You see, once you start a Campaign, you need to end it. This one having 25 Stage in it, which took him about 3 days to complete, of course with rest in-between, it's just that it has to be in Character rather than his real body, which bombed him out. He did like seeing the NPCs go about their day though.

[ MISSION COMPLETE: "COMPLETE 10 CAMPAIGN IN GENERAL" ]

[ REWARD: +1,000 SYSTEM CREDITS, NOBLE KNIGHT TITLE, CHAMPION SELECTION LVL. 1 UNLOCKED ]

Arthur breath a sight of relief in finally seeing the notification that he was waiting for. He read it closely and just like he expected, he finally gain it. The famed Champion Selection Skill.

An exclusive skill given to people with the Developer Class, one which he chose in the beginning when he awakened the System— his growth, all the problems he had encountered, and would encounter is caused by that one simple decision.

Who would have thought that chosing that Class would completely change the System making him work hard every day playing video games. To the point that he started to dislike video games— For Honor in general. If he had known beforehand, then he would have just chosen the Necromancer Class.

That sounded more fun, especially because he is somewhat and something connected to the Detective Comics Universe, though he couldn't get in contact with that Universe no matter what he tries, he is still connected to it.

That's a shocker, especially because he doesn't know what kind of Detective Comics Universe it is in the Multiverse. Plausibly one wherein people are genderbent, could be one wherein everyone is killed, could be one wherein the heroes are just children.

Could be wherein the heroes aren't born yet, one where the Detective Comics Universe is still being created. Or perhaps already destroyed by some notorious villain, that do be happening to about 6/10 of the Universes in that certain Multiverse. So he wouldn't be surprise if that was the case.

Still though, he is connected to the Detective Comics Universe.

With this skill— this Champion Selection Skill, he would be able to get in touch with the Detective Comics Universe; that is of course in choosing a Champion of his, to enter the For Honor Games or other games which he haven't unlocked yet, to level-up and fight in his stead.

He already have people in his head: Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent, Diana Prince. Those skilled combatant if given a Character inside his game, would be unstoppable, especially the first option... Skilled in everything, wouldn't he be clearing anyone and everyone left and right?

It's just that he doesn't know how to get in touch in general, or how specifically this skill extensively work aside from the description he read before acquiring it.

He just know the basic information that it would connect him with the Detective Comics Universe, and give him an opportunity to pick one person in general to be a Champion— a somewhat, something of a Player but not completely.

From what he gathered, he first needs to create a Hub for the guy.

A Lobby wherein people could log in and off, just like in Ready Player One, a movie he watched some time ago. Then he would need to create Characters for them to control, then this, then that.

The wiring and science of it doesn't make sense to him, but at the very least he understands what he first needs to do. He could actually skip the Lobby part and give the chosen Champion a Character in the world and just drop him. It'll be on him how long his Character would survive— the pain and everything would be felt by them if they chose to, but yeah, confusing.

Arthur who's tired, not physically but emotionally and spirituality decided to skip that for now, and would do that tomorrow instead. Using his Champion Selection Skill, creating a Character for them, then starting a Basic Lvl. 1 Campaign for them...

For now, he needs to get some rest, and explore the new loots he have earned. The Noble Knight Title sounding cool, so he equipped it very quickly which gave benefits the next time he'll play a Stage, or a Campaign. It says right here the following;

[ NOBLE KNIGHT (TITLE) [FOR HONOR] ]

[ +25% BOOST IN MORAL FOR KNIGHT FACTION MEMBERS, IN BATTLE ]

[ +10% MORE LIKELY TO SPAWN A KNIGHT HERO WHEN STARTING THE STAGE ]

[ +10% INCREASE IN BASIC STATS FOR THE NEXT 5 MINUTES STARTING THE STAGE ]

[ -INSTANT HOSTILITY FROM OTHER FACTION HEROES AND WARRIORS ]

Which have the pros outweighs the cons. Something-something he likes to see, not that he'll use it outside of Campaign, or a Stage in general, but at least he have it. And it's better than nothing.

Standing up, Arthur then did a pulling down motion using his index finger, which caused a System panel to appear in front of him. This one connected to where he'll be going, either in a what, start a Campaign, go somewhere else, or any other place he have waypointed or created.

Him not having created much other than the For Honor Game World, or his Home World. So the options didn't give much other than those two. For Honor or Home.

He is actually standing in For Honor, and it is blank due to him not starting any Campaign, so he picked the latter of the options, which is Home.

[ HOME WORLD ]

[ FOR HONOR WORLD ]

His person disappeared, swallowed by blue lights as it then disappeared completely from the bland white canvas-like surroundings appearing somewhere else.

His eyes didn't blink at all in this process, having gotten used to it, and so what appeared in front of him is a peaceful countryside with a single one-floored house reminiscent of his old apartment appeared in front of him.

An out of place house that isn't even qualified to be called an house at all. As it is just a square with a few windows and doors attached to it. He is bad in architecture, so he didn't try and just built for himself a makeshift home that he didn't upgrade.

To him what matters is the inside wherein a computer is placed, something he didn't have when he was still a normie. A comfortably queen sized bed just for him, food stocked to the brim ranging to whatever he wants, to whenever he wants.

That sounds stupid, but this place is his Home, since after he got kidnapped by the System...

At the very least he could play singleplayer videogames like Modern Warfare, Minecraft, or even For Honor in there using his bought computer.

The last one giving him the idea to make a For Honor realistic game wherein he could level-up more. Took him quite some time to do it, but with the help of the System and the idea on how to create one, he did create it... A shame that others wouldn't be able to play those life-like groundbreaking video games other than him, for now that is the case, who knows in the future.
