The group quickly followed the fortune-telling granny into the palace's interior, where she pointed to a door at a corner of a spiral staircase and said, "The warriors will enter through this door. The rest of you wait for me, and we'll go to a better viewing area."
John pushed open the door and continued inside. The entire Devil's Toilet was carved from stone in the shape of bones, and John walked along a bone-shaped stone staircase.
John grimaced and muttered, "These carvings are hideous. I really don't understand the granny's peculiar taste."
After turning a few corners, John finally reached a lit area, which was clearly the exit.
John walked out of the exit and found himself on a stone bridge shaped like a long tongue. The exit he had come from was carved into the shape of a devil's mouth.
On the other side was a similar structure, with two giant squatting demons extending their long tongues to form a long stone bridge.
The bridge was only about two people wide, and below it was a pool of green liquid, constantly bubbling and emitting a foul odor.
"John, hang in there!"
"Go, John!"
From a nearby viewing platform, Krilin, Bulma, and Yamcha cheered for John.
The fortune-telling granny flew over with her crystal ball and explained, "This is the Devil's Toilet. Below is a pool of toxic swamp, so if you fall during the fight, there's no chance of survival."
To demonstrate, the fortune-telling granny took out a piece of meat from behind her and threw it into the swamp. The meat immediately started to melt upon contact with the toxic liquid and eventually dissolved completely.
Everyone became concerned for John, and their words of encouragement turned from cheers to pleas.
John said to the fortune-telling granny, "Granny, I'm ready. Call out your third warrior."
The fortune-telling granny smiled and said, "Alright, if you insist on fighting, I'll bring out my third warrior."
She drew two triangles in the air and began to cast a spell, reciting long and unfamiliar incantations.
Soon, white smoke started to billow from the demon's mouth on the other side of the bridge, enveloping the entire entrance. After a short while, the smoke began to recede, and when it cleared, a sarcophagus resembling an ancient Egyptian pharaoh remained on the demon's tongue.
The fortune-telling granny shouted, "Come out, my immortal warrior, the Mummy Man!"
The lid of the sarcophagus instantly opened, revealing a mummy wrapped in bandages.
After a long slumber, the mummy warrior slowly woke up and stood up from the sarcophagus.
He stretched his limbs and looked at John, surprised to see an 18-year-old kid. He laughed and said to the fortune-telling granny, "Granny, are your first two warriors so weak that a kid can easily pass through them?"
"Stop chattering," the fortune-telling granny warned. "This person is your opponent. Don't make the mistake of underestimating him." Although the fortune-telling granny didn't know martial arts, she loved watching fights and had a keen eye for talent. However, she couldn't discern John's true strength.
The mummy warrior looked at John but couldn't find any signs of strength. He had neither an imposing physique nor a commanding aura. From his perspective, John appeared to be an extremely ordinary young man.
However, the fortune-telling granny's caution was genuine, so the mummy warrior decided to test John. He took a fighting stance and quickly rushed towards John, launching his attack.
To his surprise, John seemed to anticipate his every move, effortlessly dodging all his attacks without even touching a thread of his clothes.
The mummy warrior had no choice but to abandon his assault and take a step back to regain his stance. He shouted, "Are you looking down on me? Why aren't you counterattacking?"
"Because I'm afraid that if I counterattack, you won't be able to withstand even one of my moves," John replied calmly.
John's performance not only shocked his opponent but also amazed his companions, except for Goku, who had also climbed Korin Tower and drunk the Ultra Divine Water.
Master Roshi muttered, "Why has John's strength increased so much in just a few months?"
Goku explained, "John, like me, climbed Korin Tower and drank the Ultra Divine Water."
"What? You both drank the Ultra Divine Water? Are you crazy? Didn't you fear being poisoned?" Master Roshi was shocked.
"What's this Ultra Divine Water?" Krilin and Yamcha asked eagerly.
Master Roshi proceeded to explain the power and side effects of the Ultra Divine Water. When they heard that four martial arts masters had died from drinking it and that John and Goku had survived, they were astonished.
The mummy warrior wanted to dismiss John's words as bluffing, but deep down, he knew that John wasn't boasting. He had a strong hunch that John truly possessed such strength.
Determined to use his ultimate move, the mummy warrior extended his arms, and the bandages binding his body began to unravel.
He waved his arms, and two bandages shot towards John, quickly wrapping around him tightly.
Seeing his move succeed, the mummy warrior laughed triumphantly and shouted, "Haha, try to dodge now! No matter how fast you are, you're at my mercy!"
"No matter how strong you are, you can't break free! Die!" he exclaimed as he tightened the bandages, intending to strangle John on the spot.
As the bandages constricted, John cried out in pain, his expression of agony alarming his friends on the viewing platform. Yamcha and Krilin even urged John to surrender.
The fortune-telling granny also advised, "You should surrender. There's no need to risk your life here."
Just then, John, who had been in agony, stopped screaming and instead wore a mischievous smile, startling the fortune-telling granny so much that she almost fell off her crystal ball.
John, now calm and composed, said, "I just wanted to give you a little scare. Are you that proud of yourself?"
"Since you claim that no one has ever escaped your bandages, I'll show you what true strength is," John declared. With a surge of power, the bandages wrapped around his body began to tear apart, emitting a sound like breaking fibers. Finally, with a loud shout, John snapped the bandages into pieces.
