Krilin was still shaken by the vampire's power, and now the group faced a dilemma: who should they send out next?
Yamcha, confident in his abilities, believed he was stronger than Krilin, but he lacked an effective strategy against the flying vampire.
Only Goku and John seemed unfazed by the situation. As the group discussed how to tackle the vampire warrior, John stepped onto the platform and declared, "This is too troublesome. I'll just take care of them all myself."
Goku immediately understood John's intention and pleaded, "John, I want to fight too!"
John replied, "Sorry, but the early bird catches the worm. I just want to test myself and see where my strength stands. Don't worry, after the fight, I'll spar with you a few rounds."
Goku's eyes lit up at John's promise. "Really?"
"Of course, it's true," John assured him.
"Alright, then I'll let you have this fight," Goku said generously.
Their conversation, unnoticed by the others, finally caught the attention of the fortune-telling granny. She interrupted their dialogue and said, "Are you two done? If you want to fight, get out of my estate right now!"
"Of course, we're fighting," John said. "Let's begin."
The vampire warrior, seeing John's tall and handsome figure, felt a surge of jealousy. In his past life, he had struggled to attract girls due to his unattractive appearance.
Once, he had confessed his feelings to a girl, but she rejected him, saying he was too ugly and looked like a vampire, only good for scaring people.
Enraged, he accepted the blood of a vampire and became one himself. His first act as a vampire was to turn the girl's entire family into vampires, making them his eternal playthings.
As the vampire warrior looked at John, he recalled his past and shouted, "You good-for-nothing! I'll scratch your face and drain your blood!" He then lunged at John.
John, seemingly startled, stood motionless, causing Bulma and the others to scream in fear.
Only Goku and Master Roshi remained calm, realizing that John had become much stronger than before.
Just as the vampire warrior was about to reach John, he finally moved. With a simple punch, he struck the vampire warrior's face.
The vampire warrior's face instantly deformed under John's powerful blow, and he flew back at an even faster speed.
The impact was so strong that he crashed through a wall behind him, shocking everyone with his immense strength.
Goku, witnessing John's display, was filled with fighting spirit and wished he could battle John right then and there.
John, unphased, turned to the stunned fortune-telling granny and said, "Granny, let's begin the next fight."
Despite being impressed by John's strength, the granny smiled and said, "Young man, I admit your strength is formidable, but defeating the next opponent won't be that easy."
"Oh, I'd like to see just how formidable my next opponent is," John replied.
After a brief wait, no warrior appeared on the platform. Yamcha, Krilin, and the others shouted, "Where's the next opponent?"
Before the fortune-telling granny could respond, John calmly said, "He's already on the platform." He directed his gaze to an empty spot on the platform.
A transparent man stood there, startled by John's words. However, he didn't believe John could see him.
Yamcha, puzzled, asked, "He's on the platform, but we can't see him. Is he a transparent person?"
John nodded and said, "Yes, the fortune-telling granny's second warrior is a transparent man."
"I'm right, aren't I, Granny?" John asked.
Everyone turned their attention to the fortune-telling granny, who looked at John with a serious expression and asked, "I didn't say anything. How did you know?"
John didn't answer but addressed Goku, Krilin, and Yamcha, "Do you know how to deal with a transparent person, or more generally, how to deal with someone who ambushes you?"
The three shook their heads, indicating they didn't know. Goku's strength was high, but his control over his ki was quite rough.
"Alright, I'll demonstrate," John said. "Watch carefully. To defeat these kinds of opponents, we need to master ki control."
"Ki!" Goku and the others were baffled, except for Master Roshi, who marveled at John's strength.
John explained, "Every living being has ki. The stronger the being, the stronger the ki; the weaker the being, the weaker the ki."
"So, in my perception, the transparent man's ki is like a light in the darkness. I can see it clearly."
Turning to the transparent man, John asked, "Do you want to attack first, or should I?"
The transparent man still didn't believe he had been discovered and kept changing his position, but no matter how he moved, John always faced him.
"Don't waste your energy," John said. "If you don't want to attack, I'll take the initiative." With that, John dashed forward, and before anyone could react, he threw a punch into thin air. Everyone saw an invisible object fall into the lake with a 'plop,' creating ripples on the water.
Everyone was astonished, and Krilin exclaimed, "I didn't expect there to be a transparent person in this world!"
The fortune-telling granny looked at John and said, "Young man, your strength is indeed formidable, but there are always greater people out there. The next three contestants won't be so easy to deal with."
John smiled and said, "Granny, if I tell you that I haven't even used a tenth of my strength, would you believe me?"
The fortune-telling granny's face darkened, and she said, "You're just a smart aleck. I hope you can still smile after the fight."
Then, the fortune-telling granny rose with her crystal and addressed everyone, "Let's change the battlefield. Follow me."
Leading the way, the fortune-telling granny headed forward, with everyone following behind. Krilin, curious, asked, "Where are we going?"
Master Roshi, standing nearby, replied in a low voice, "The Devil's Toilet!"
"The Devil's Toilet?!" Everyone was shocked upon hearing the name, unable to imagine what kind of place could be called the Devil's Toilet.
