Without hesitation, she opened her laptop and quickly messaged Darren.
"How are you doing?" she typed, her fingers moving quickly over the keyboard.
Meanwhile, Darren was lying on his bed, scrolling through his phone. He thought he had finally gotten away from the hacker after ditching his old phone, but then he heard a sound coming from his phone.
His heart stopped.
No way… not again…
Panicked, Darren threw his phone across the room like it was a hot potato. His face went pale with fear. He had hoped he was done with all of that.
Suddenly, he heard a soft chuckle.
Aurora's voice rang out from his phone, almost like she was right there in the room with him. "Did you realize that I can see you, Darren?" she asked, amusement clear in her tone.
Darren froze, his eyes widening. He looked around, half-expecting Aurora to appear from the shadows. His mouth went dry, and his stomach dropped.
"What... What do you mean you can see me?" Darren stammered, fear creeping into his voice.
