Chapter 93 – Automatic Cooking Machine

Su Chen put on his clown mask. By now, it had already become a signature symbol of his livestream channel.

Since he streamed anonymously, his audience had lovingly dubbed him "Clown God."

The name was pretty self-explanatory—a bigshot who wears a clown mask and refuses to show his face.

Ah, the lives of the wealthy—so low-key and unpretentious.

Watching TV while enjoying grilled fish—this was probably the kind of life all three billion-plus survivors around the world dreamed of.

With Su Chen setting the trend, the world chat channel had exploded in activity. Everyone started casually sharing what they were eating for dinner, along with a short caption.

Survivor 10213 posted a photo of two pieces of bread and a bottle of milk, captioned: Simple dinner, nothing fancy.

Someone commented: Not bad at all. You've even got pure milk. Looks like life's treating you pretty well!

Survivor 12490 uploaded a picture of half-eaten instant noodles and a bottle of cola, captioned: Jumping on the bandwagon with a simple meal.

A comment below read: If you're done with the noodles, can I at least have a sip of the leftover broth?

Survivor 9201 posted a photo of a dining table with three vegetable dishes: cabbage, white radish, and potatoes.

No meat, but even three vegetarian dishes were enough to make people drool.

After all, it had been over two weeks since they arrived here, and 99% of the people hadn't had a single stir-fried dish.

Clearly, this person wasn't ordinary—probably ranked in the global top tier.

The world of the RV realm still had no official leaderboard, and rankings remained a mystery. It was entirely possible that someone you casually chatted with could be among the global top 100.

Of course, Su Chen's fame was already widespread. Everyone knew he was strong, though most only had a vague impression of him as a top-tier survivor without knowing his exact rank.

This was all thanks to Su Chen's low-key nature.

But this mysterious Survivor 9201 definitely wasn't someone to take lightly. Their post instantly drew massive attention online.

The chat channel's engagement skyrocketed.

Comments poured in:

("Damn! They've got three dishes? That's just unfair."

"Okay, I admit I'm jealous. I'm seriously drooling here."

"Ugh... I thought I was living pretty well chewing on steamed buns."

"For the first time, I truly feel the gap between people…")

Su Chen had been using the chat channel for a while now, but it was only today that he realized the world chat actually allowed users to post photos.

It was probably because of his own "Versailles-style" livestream—delicious grilled fish and captivating movies—that people got swept up in the trend.

Others had probably discovered the photo feature long ago but chose not to use it.

Likely due to survival instincts shaped by the RV realm's first round of rules and guidance—many survivors were cautious, not wanting to reveal their location or living conditions online.

As Su Chen was preparing to stream anyway, he figured he might as well join in the fun.

After all—

Showing off subtly is the deadliest kind.

He opened the box for his automatic cooking machine. Inside was a large device, a mixing paddle, and a manual.

Fully automated stir-frying, perfect heat control, time-saving, and portable.

First impressions? Not bad at all. The only question was—how would the food taste?

Su Chen quickly plugged it in.

The small display screen had several categories: Signature Dishes, Meats, Vegetables, Soups.

Su Chen browsed through them. There were only about thirty dishes available, but that was more than enough.

It's an automatic cooker—what more could you ask for?

He decided to make just three dishes today—not too much, didn't want any leftovers.

He'd invite his companion, Junma, to join him. It had been a while since they sat down for a proper meal together.

Unfortunately, Number Two would never get to taste this again...

Since he was testing out the automatic cooking machine, of course he had to try its signature dishes!

Every region had its local specialty. As a native of Hunan, Su Chen's favorite was—naturally—Stir-fried Pork with Chili Peppers.

One meat, one veg, and a soup.

That would make for a delicious and healthy meal.

Stir-fried Pork with Chili Peppers, Tomato Scrambled Eggs, and Kelp Tofu Soup.

All three were Su Chen's longtime favorites. And to his delight, the cooking machine had all of them available—super convenient!

He already had all the necessary ingredients. Prepping them wasn't a problem at all.

Thanks to his cooking background, he had the side ingredients ready in no time.

Now all he had to do was follow the instructions and toss everything into the machine.

"…Wait, why does this only show the ingredients but not the steps?"

"Am I just supposed to dump everything in at once?"

Su Chen was confused.

Normally, cooking had step-by-step instructions, right? But here, only the ingredients were listed.

"Eh, whatever. I'll just throw everything in!"

Honestly, if he thought any harder, he might as well cook it himself.

Oil, pork, chili peppers, salt, soy sauce…

He tossed everything in, fitted the mixing paddle onto the lid, sealed it shut, and hit the start button.

"Is… is this really how it works?"

Su Chen still wasn't sure if he was doing it right, but with no clear instructions, he figured this would do.

He leaned in close, eyes wide open.

Watching the cooking machine in action was oddly fascinating.

The single mixing paddle just kept stirring, over and over.

Calling it an "automatic cooking machine" was generous. Anyone who didn't know better might think it was a washing machine.

But hey—process doesn't matter, as long as the taste is good.

Su Chen had added the ingredients according to the recommended amounts. If the food turned out bad, that'd be on the machine.

While the cooker did its thing, Su Chen didn't waste time. He washed some rice and got it cooking in the electric rice cooker.

This was standard practice for him.

The beauty of this automatic cooker was how completely hands-free it was.

With free time on his hands, he turned on the TV to catch a variety show while he waited.

"Xiao Min, turn on the TV and play Run for It!"

"Now playing: Run for It."

The RV's smart system made it easy—just a voice command, and the whole vehicle followed suit.

After watching for a bit, his three dishes were ready—just like that!

With this thing, there was no need to hire a maid. Just chop the ingredients, and you'd have a hot meal ready to eat. Cleaner than takeout, too.

It felt much more reassuring to eat food you made yourself… though he still wasn't sure about the taste.

Su Chen set the dishes on the table.

He picked up a piece of stir-fried pork with his chopsticks and took a careful bite.

The moment it hit his tongue, his eyes lit up.

"Holy crap… this is actually good!"

Su Chen had expected it to taste off or artificial. But it was surprisingly delicious—especially compared to people who couldn't cook at all, this was practically a gourmet meal.

He tried the other two dishes as well—and they didn't disappoint.

Looks like this cooking machine was going to save him a ton of time from now on.
