" What was the gender?" Amanda asked
" It was a girl. She looks like both mother and father. She is adorable. Can you imagine? I hope the mother makes it." the nurse beamed with excitement.
" I hope not," Amanda said.
The nurse furrowed her brow. A heavy wave of negative energy radiates from the woman standing in front of her.
" You saw nothing," Amanda muttered before turning her on her heels.
"It's a girl. I can't believe this shit. First Mina and now that useless newborn " she hissed under her breath.
Snatching her phone from her pocket, Amanda swiped to place a call. The device pressed tightly against her ear as she made the call.
" Hello?"
" What took you so long?" Amanda growled.
" What do you want?" the person asked
Amanda clenched her jaw, then launched into a cold explanation.
After explaining, she turned her heels and left the hospital. She knew Mina and her baby would be taken care of real soon.

There were no walls. No sound. Just endless weightlessness. Where was she? She looked around her but she couldn't detect where she was.
" Where am I?" Mina whispered
One moment she thought she heard a baby cry, and the next she could hear people talking. It sounded like they were panicking.
She turned around, trying to find a way out.
" Hello?"
She called out. Mina looked down on herself. Her brows furrowed. She was in a white cloth with blood stains.
" That wasn't what I wore?" she muttered to herself.
Fear gripped her heart.
" Mina…."
A whisper slithered through the silence.
It was faint, almost like the wind brushing through her skin.
" Who is there?" she called again, her voice shaking.
" Mina…. It's time."
The voice called her again.
Her pulse thundered in her ears, louder than the whisper. A cold sweat broke on her back.
Her vision became blurry, and a bright light shone in front of her.
" No, they need me," she muttered as her heart slammed against her ribs.
Two figures walked towards her. And she recognised them instantly.
" Mom and Dad?"
The figures approached her, and Mina ran towards them.
" Mom and Dad." she broke down, with tears wetting her face. She hugged them tightly.
" I missed you."
Her parents hugged her back.
She pulled away slowly as if her arms didn't want to let go of them. Her eyes burned with tears she'd fought for years. Tears of fears, of love and everything. She was exhausted with everything that was going on.
