Chapter 373 - Chapter 373: Retaliate

Chapter 373: Retaliate

The Drum Kingdom's city guards quickly went into a frenzy.

Their own prince had been attacked—on their own turf, no less! Unacceptable.

Squad after squad of city guards armed themselves and rushed toward the prince's location.

Soon, they spotted a mound of snow in the middle of the street.

Atop the snowy pile, a fat head was poking out, tears and snot streaming down his face.

"Quick! Get His Highness out of there!"

The city guards yelled as they rushed over.

But as they got close, an awful stench hit their noses.

All of them instinctively wrinkled their brows and glanced at the prince's rear.

They forced themselves to endure the nausea and pulled the prince out.

Smack!

The moment Waldo was up, he turned and slapped the guard captain hard across the face.

"Idiot! Why did you take so long?!"

Waldo screamed in fury.

"I'm sorry!"

The slapped guard didn't even dare speak up, bowing his head submissively.

"Mobilize the entire city guard! I want those filthy commoners who humiliated me captured!"

Waldo bellowed, his face contorted in rage.

He had never been so humiliated in his life.

The surrounding guards quickly scattered to follow orders—none dared linger near the prince now.

The streets had already been cleared of civilians.

"They went that way! Chase them!"

Waldo pointed north, shouting.

"Y-Yes, Your Highness!"

The city guards moved swiftly.

Whistles blew, and the streets were soon filled with marching soldiers and shouting orders.

Chaos engulfed the capital.

"There they are! Those are the ones who humiliated His Highness!"

Robert and his group were quickly spotted.

After all, Drum Kingdom's city wasn't that large—it didn't take long to find them.

"What's going on?!"

Seeing the guards surrounding them, Deidara shifted into a battle stance.

"What do you think? It's clearly that prince we beat up earlier stirring up trouble again."

Robert scoffed, unimpressed by the soldiers now closing in.

His aura steadily rose—he was ready to fight.

"Get ready to show them what the Rockefeller family is made of!"

All of them assumed battle formations.

Robert's body transformed into a swirling mass of gas.

Sif's body became a flurry of snow, cold winds swirling around her.

Deidara clenched his fists, grinning eagerly at the approaching soldiers.

Eve waved her hands, summoning two vine whips into her grip.

Logan immediately entered his saber-toothed tiger half-beast form.

Julie drew her dual blades, alert and ready.

Phillip's arms turned into sloshing, flowing mud.

Trunks radiated waves of heat from his body.

Kakarot manifested a glowing card between his fingers.

Gibetta's skin shimmered with obsidian plates that gleamed menacingly under the sunlight.

Everyone was battle-ready.

"What the hell are they?!"

The city guards froze, shocked by the terrifying display coming from a group of children no older than ten.

"Hmph… You dared to mess with the Rockefeller family? Time to pay—with your lives!"

"Charge!"

Robert, the eldest, waved his hand and gave the order.

He charged forward like a wisp of smoke, plunging into the soldiers' ranks.

Vapor wrapped around the guards, and they collapsed silently.

The bizarre method of killing terrified the remaining guards, forcing them to fall back.

"Can't let Robert steal all the glory! Brothers, let's go!"

Deidara laughed and leapt into the fray, disappearing into a group of guards and unleashing devastation.

Every punch he threw resulted in explosions. In moments, body parts flew through the air.

It looked more like a slaughterhouse than a battlefield.

"Sisters! Let's not let the boys hog all the fun! Let's go!"

Sif dashed toward another cluster of guards, Eve and Julie right behind her.

Sif raised her hand, sending an avalanche of snow crashing down, burying dozens of guards.

Eve twirled gracefully, summoning vines that danced like ribbons, lashing at the soldiers.

Julie coldly drew her twin blades.

Two air blades shot forth, slicing through armor and limbs alike.

Screams rang out. Blood sprayed.

"Aaahhh!"

"Help!"

"D-demons! They're demons!!"

The unexpected onslaught overwhelmed the city guard.

In less than twenty seconds, over fifty guards were dead, and another hundred wounded and on the ground.

These children had all been thrown onto battlefields since they were five by their ruthless father.

They weren't just trained—they were brutal.

No mercy, no hesitation. The best enemy was a dead one.

Raised under Charlotte's harsh training, each of them had grown indifferent to blood and death.

To them, mercy was weakness.

If not for the shred of humanity they retained, Charlotte might have thought he raised a band of emotionless killing machines.

The battle was over quickly.

The few hundred city guards were nearly annihilated.

Only a handful escaped.

The streets were soaked in blood.

Robert reverted to his normal form and immediately pinched his nose.

"Eugh! Why do you always make things so bloody?! It's disgusting!"

He looked at Deidara with revulsion.

"Tch! And that stink from your gas makes me want to puke!"

Deidara snapped back.

Robert ignored him and looked around, eyes gleaming with an idea.

"What do you guys say—should we go pay that little prince a visit?"

He looked at the fallen guards and grinned.

The suggestion made the others frown slightly.

"Dad told us not to cause trouble…"

Sif reminded them of what Charlotte said before he left.

"Are we the ones causing trouble? He's the one who came after us. If we don't strike back, how will the Rockefeller family maintain its reputation?"

Robert's words made most of them reconsider.

Especially Deidara, Phillip, and Trunks.

They were just like Robert—if someone came knocking to start a fight, they'd definitely hit back.

"We have to retaliate!"

Deidara declared firmly.
