Chapter 374: Art is Explosion
After Deidara spoke, the others didn't object.
Sif had only reminded Robert not to forget their father's warning. But seeing that everyone was keen on retaliation, she didn't say anything else.
After all, this whole mess had been started by that so-called prince. Giving him a beating was already letting off steam for Eve—but who would've thought he'd keep pushing?
To be honest, Sif was pissed too.
"Let's go! Isn't he a prince? Then we'll go straight to this island's royal palace and demand an explanation from their king!"
Sif stepped forward and said.
"Alright! We'll follow Second Sis!"
Phillip and Trunks responded excitedly.
They were naturally the type who enjoyed chaos and didn't fear trouble. Tagging along with their elder siblings was always thrilling.
Once everyone agreed, the group, led by Robert, headed for the heart of the kingdom.
Charlotte had no idea that just hours after separating from his children, they'd already stirred up a massive mess.
At that moment, Charlotte was still searching for information on Dr. Kureha, the Witch Doctor.
He truly wanted to meet the hundred-year-old woman—not out of lust, but because he had genuine matters to discuss.
Charlotte was highly interested in Kureha's medical expertise and her secrets to maintaining youth. After all, he had a lot of women, and though he possessed Pure Gold, he wouldn't mind if they could maintain themselves even better.
Besides, Charlotte had a nagging feeling that Kureha was hiding something deeper.
Just as Charlotte finally learned her location…
Robert and the others had already arrived at the royal palace.
They stood before the massive palace gates.
"Deidara, can you blow open this gate?" Robert asked.
Deidara looked at the wooden gate, then smirked.
"Leave it to me."
He casually stepped forward toward the palace.
The palace guards immediately noticed him.
"Hey! Stop right there!"
"Kid, this isn't a place for you. Run on home!"
The guards at the gate tried to shoo him away.
But Deidara ignored them completely and continued forward.
One guard tried to block his path—only to be blasted away by an explosion on contact, killed instantly.
Deidara's Devil Fruit was incredibly destructive. Against regular people, it was more than enough to leave no corpse.
"We're under attack! Enemies at the gate!"
Seeing what happened, the other guards quickly raised their weapons.
"Fire! Fire!"
One of their comrades had just been killed—this was no normal kid.
Bang! Bang bang!
Bullets peppered Deidara's body—but he didn't even flinch.
As a bomb-man, bullets and shells had no effect on him.
He casually walked up to the massive gate.
Raising his right hand, he clenched it into a fist.
"Art… is an explosion!"
With a shout, Deidara slammed his fist into the gate.
BOOM!
A massive explosion rocked the entrance.
Flames and smoke erupted. Wood splinters flew in every direction.
A thunderous crash followed as the entire structure shook.
Soldiers on the wall felt the tremor and instinctively dropped to the ground in panic.
"What's going on?!"
Inside the palace, the King of Drum Kingdom looked up sharply toward the direction of the main gate.
He couldn't see anything from where he sat, but something told him the entrance was under attack.
"Go! Go check what's happening!"
He ordered a servant nearby.
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
The servant sprinted off to investigate.
Elsewhere on the island…
"That explosion… it sounds like one of Deidara's."
Caesar stared into the distance, though he couldn't see clearly.
"It was Deidara's. A fight's definitely broken out."
Esdeath, whose Observation Haki far surpassed Caesar's, nodded with certainty.
"A fight? But didn't Father say not to cause trouble?"
Elise asked, worried.
"It's fine, Auntie. Deidara and the others aren't weak. They'll be okay."
Caesar reassured her, then looked ahead.
"Big Sis, stay here and protect the moms. I'll go check it out!"
He instructed.
Esdeath nodded.
"Be careful. If something happens, signal immediately!"
"Got it!"
Caesar nodded, then his body expanded—transforming into a massive hundred-meter-long dragon.
With a flap of his wings, he soared toward the heart of the island.
Back at the palace gate—
The smoke cleared.
Deidara stood there, completely unscathed, fist still extended.
The palace gate was gone—reduced to splinters scattered around his feet.
He looked over the destruction, smirked, and turned to the group with a proud tilt of his head.
His face said it all: Impressed, aren't you?
Robert and the others all rolled their eyes and ignored his smugness, stepping forward.
The explosion had alarmed every nearby guard.
"Enemies! Retaliate! Fire! Kill them all!"
A commanding officer shouted, weapon raised.
He fired first.
Bang!
The bullet hit Robert squarely in the chest… and passed through.
Smoke curled from his chest, where a large hole had appeared—before quickly closing up.
That was the power of a Logia-type fruit.
Without Armament Haki, you couldn't harm a Logia user at all.
"A Logia-type user?!"
The officer gasped.
He knew about Logia powers—the most feared among Devil Fruits.
After all, the Navy's three Monster Vice Admirals were all famous for being Logia users.
Seeing such a power here left him stunned.
"Open fire! Fire, dammit!"
He screamed at the troops on the walls.
Even if it was pointless, he had no other way to fight back.
Bang bang bang!
Bullets rained down again.
At that moment—
Gibetta stepped forward from the back of the group.
"I've got this. I'll shield everyone."
His skin turned black and shiny, transforming into tough obsidian armor.
He stood tall, guarding the others.
Robert just shrugged.
Bullets thudded harmlessly against Gibetta's armor with loud thunks.
