From behind the cracked wall, Fifi watched in silence.
Her small body trembled, but not from fear this time.
Her eyes, wide and glowing faintly with static, followed Fiona's every move.
She had never seen anything like this before.
The way Fiona moved…
The way she fought...
How the lights danced around her, how she smiled even when the enemy was strong.
Fifi whispered to herself.
"...She's not scared."
She blinked, clutching her small paw-hands together.
"She's… smiling."
Another blast lit the sky.
Fiona twisted mid-air, kicked Vernyx in the chest, then landed perfectly on her feet.
Fifi gasped softly.
"Is she really… fighting for me?"
She looked down at her own feet.
Her long ears twitched.
"No one… no one ever fought for me before."
The wind blew gently past her, carrying sparks and bits of glowing dust from Fiona's battlefield.
Fifi pressed her paws against her chest.
"Maybe… maybe she's not like the others."

Fiona's feet hit the ground with a light thud.
