Fiona didn't hesitate.
She shot forward, boosters firing from her boots, one hand glowing with a charged pulse.
"Alright, snake-face. Let's see what you've got!"
She opened with a fast volley.
Three burst blasts from her left gauntlet, aiming for the chest, head, and leg in quick succession.
But Vernyx moved with inhuman grace.
Shlrrrk.
It twisted sideways, its body bending like a coil, each segment sliding with perfect control.
The blasts missed.
Fiona's eyes widened. "You're fast—!"
Before she could react, Vernyx spun in place, and his tail snapped toward her like a whip.
Wham!
Fiona was slammed out of the air and hit a concrete wall with a heavy crash.
