Back home, Nova stretched his body, took a long bath, and entered the basement. He took out his Omni-Dex and began operating it with swift, practiced movements.
After setting out all the necessary details, Nova took a deep breath.
It was time to become magical.

2.) RESTRICTIONS MODIFICATION CARD: As the name suggests, the host can use this card to remove or modify the restrictions over anything — whether it's an item, a person, a seal, etc.
→ Cannot be used on the system.
→ It can be used only once on a single item and will only modify one restriction.
3.) A FAMILIAR EGG: The egg that the host received from the novice gift pack has been transformed into a Familiar Egg. Gaining a familiar will bring various benefits to the host.
→ It will hatch in 24 hours.
4.) INVENTORY FUNCTION EVOLUTION: The system inventory has evolved. It now possesses nearly infinite space and a time-freezing function.
5.) BODY EVOLUTION CARD: Despite the name, using this card won't cause physical mutation. Instead, the host's body will gain an adaptable trait.

Looking at the notifications, the rewards, and their descriptions, Nova smiled widely. This system of his was really generous. Last time, it had directly given him the Omnitrix — and the rewards this time were equally extravagant.
Trading with a new world would bring all kinds of unexpected advantages but directly travelling to it was pretty excited. Due to system restrictions, he can't travel to the trade world unless he have made 5 successful trades with five different people. So he was genuinely excited. Who knew which world he'd connect with next?
Then there was the Restriction Modification Card. Nova didn't need to think long about its use. As he looked at the description and then at the Omnitrix in his hand, his smile turned a little... unsettling. Fortunately, he was alone in the basement.
Shaking his head, Nova opened the inventory — which didn't look much different — and took out the egg. It now had several unfamiliar runes etched onto its shell, glowing faintly. He could feel something new... a sense of resonance. It wasn't just an object anymore. There was a connection now — in blood, in soul.
He had been waiting for the egg to hatch ever since he received it. But even after all these days, it hadn't shown the slightest movement. Now, finally, it would hatch in 24 hours. He could hardly wait to meet his familiar. Getting both magic and a familiar in a single day? That was more than awesome.
Nova calmed himself and gently placed the egg safely on the couch. Then, he took out the Body Evolution Card.
The card was black in color, with a golden outline of a human figure on one side — minimalist, yet regal.
Without hesitation, Nova crushed the card between his fingers.
It dissolved into shimmering golden light that flowed gently into his body. An immediate wave of warmth washed over him, like slipping into a perfectly heated bath after a long day. His limbs relaxed, his mind sharpened. It was blissfully invigorating.
Within seconds, the golden light dissipated, and Nova opened his eyes. Something was different — subtly, but unmistakably. His senses felt a little sharper, his body lighter, more reactive. Maybe that was the adaptable trait already working in the background.
Shaking his head, Nova debated whether to begin his magical upgrade or use a Restriction Modification Card on the Omnitrix first.
After a few moments of thought, he made his decision.

He turned the dial and transformed into Grey Matter, then switched to Brainstorm. With both of his most intelligent alien forms analyzing in sync, it didn't take long for him to develop a precise modification plan.
He reverted to human form, took out one of the Restriction Modification Cards, and tapped it to the Omnitrix.
The device immediately began to glow.
The dial rose, spun with mechanical precision, and settled back down within a few seconds.

"Master Control... online," he muttered under his breath, a grin slowly stretching across his face. His voice carried a sharp thrill — part disbelief, part exhilaration.
He turned his wrist, admiring the device as if seeing it for the first time.
"No more timeouts. No more recharge timers. No more getting stuck as Grey Matter in the middle of a fight."
He chuckled, the sound low and dangerous.
"This... is a game changer."
Without even thinking, he willed a transformation. His body shifted instantly, fluidly — like flipping a switch — into XLR8.
The world blurred around him. No clunky dial. No delays.
Just... power at his fingertips.
Another thought. Another shift.
Now he was Diamondhead, feeling the comforting weight of crystalline armor form over him — solid, sharp, unbreakable.

Nova let out a breathless laugh, a bubbling sense of euphoria rising inside him.
"Three hours a day..." he mused aloud. "Plenty of time to wreck someone's day if they deserve it."
The possibilities — the sheer freedom — sent an electric thrill through him.
He wasn't bound anymore. No forced reverts. No crippling cooldowns. Just... him, unleashed.
Grinning, Nova looked at the egg resting safely on the couch, the faint runes on its shell pulsing gently.
"And you're about to hatch tomorrow," he whispered, his voice softening with genuine warmth.
"Looks like both of us are about to step into a whole new world."
He flexed his fingers, feeling the adaptable trait from the Body Evolution Card hum beneath his skin. His body, his mind, his very being — all of it was leveling up at once.
He felt ready. For the familiar. For new worlds. Formagic..
Nova's eyes gleamed with a mixture of excitement, mischief, and a dangerous kind of ambition.
Taking a deep breath to calm himself down, Nova took out his Omni-Dex and tapped it a few times.
Turning his arm, he commanded," Omnitrix, connect with Omni-Dex.
There was a brief moment of silence — then the Omnitrix flashed brightly, responding with a deep, mechanical chime.
