Synopsis
David Star was a broken man. Divorced, drunk, and miserable, he spent the last five years of his life writing a chaotic fanfic where the female protagonist escaped a tragic fate in her original franchise and gained friends from other worlds to live a happy life full of adventure. But before he could finish it, he was killed in a random drive-by shooting at the age of thirty. Then he opened his eyes… in his own story. Now he has a second chance. The heroines of countless franchises, girls who were never meant to meet, are here. Their stories are different and somehow, they're crossing paths with him. Armed with the Chaotic God's Harem System, David gains strength through seduction, passion, and connection. To survive and thrive in this world, he’ll have to do what he couldn’t before: live boldly, selfishly, and make every woman who enters his life want to stay. A black-haired time traveler clings to him like he's her lifeline. A cheerful blonde gyaru with a love for cosplay looks at him like he’s her entire world. More girls appear, each with a story, each with scars, and each one drawn to something in him. * * * Author's Note: Hope that AI-generated synopsis was bearable. I hate reading AI-generated words, but I'm not the best at summarizing things and would likely end up writing an entire chapter's worth of words for it. The cover for this was also AI-generated and I couldn't get it right so what's uploaded is as close as possible, though David doesn't look like what's shown on the the cover. :/ This is my first time writing, and honestly? I don’t know if it’s good. But! It’s therapeutic, and I hope someone out there enjoys it. The story doesn’t take itself seriously most of the time. Some chapters are total fourth-wall breaks just to explain stuff without bogging down the plot. Anyway, the story starts off a little dark and slow, but that fades pretty quickly. Once things get going, it becomes full-on smutty harem fanfic trash--and I say that with love. Expect mechanics inspired by 'Dimensional Group Chat' and 'Inner Voice' novels. Expect crossover madness. Expect a horny bastard building a multiversal empire. - No yuri in the harem - No NTR for David in his new world - No mercy if he’s out of patience - He doesn’t like killing women, but he will if he has to - He will steal your girl (yes, Netori) David gets strong fast, and yeah, it’s kinda broken. But that’s the point. He suffered enough in his old life. Now it’s his turn to win. If you think this is trash… you’re probably right. But maybe you’ll enjoy the dumpster fire with me. Just as a warning, I have a neurological condition that makes me fall asleep whenever I do anything stimulating (like writing or revising chapters) so while I will try to upload chapters as much as I can, I can't promise any specific schedule because my ass gets put to sleep quite often.

Chapter 1 - 'Oh... So it was just a trashy fanfic with no real direction, got it...'

"Good morning, world..."

David Star woke up at 6:00 am, a habit he formed over the years and now no longer needs an alarm clock.

It has been 15 years since David reincarnated into this new world.

One night, he was busy working on his web novel while drunk, as usual, and happened to run to the convenience store for some more alcohol.

Since he lived in a not-so-nice part of the city, he had always been very alert and careful. Unfortunately, being alert doesn't save you from a random drive-by shooting, so that night ended up being David's last.

As David was falling to the ground and bleeding out, he only heard a sweet female voice right before he died that said, "Finally, after thirty years, I can save you..."

The next thing he knew, he was waking up as a baby in a hospital, all the blurriness from his drunken stupor gone without a trace.

David quickly understood that he had been reincarnated, but didn't know what the world setting was, though it was obvious at a glance that he was in modern times.

As someone that didn't have a good family nor a good life ever since he was born, David was hoping that this life would be different.

While he was waiting to see who his new parents were, he ended up laying in the hospital for two whole days before he heard something from a doctor.

Unfortunately, David could only speak English and the doctors were speaking Japanese. Still, with what little knowledge he had about the language, he understood a few things while the doctors looked at him pitifully.

"Child", "Parents", and "Don't exist".

Not only was David now in a new world as a baby, he also had no parents.

Still, with what David had gone through in his past life, he made it his goal to not suffer like before, opting to be cold and distant to everyone he meets.

'Family will only abuse me, friends will only use me, and lovers will only betray me,' he thought.

Throughout his previous life, David had always been backstabbed or used by the people he thought were closest to him. To be fair, he understood that it was his fault for being too kind and was willing to forgive people until they left him, no matter how toxic they were.

But now that David was born again, he figured he would at least do his best to make the most out of life this time.

With a new ambition and a more cold-hearted mindset, David decided to roll with the punches, unknowingly removing most of his emotions.

Shortly after he realized he was alone in this world, he was placed in an orphanage in Tokyo.

He lived as an odd child; ignoring most people around him, never crying, and reading books wherever possible.

When David was 3 years old, he found out a bit about himself as well as the world around him.

He was still on Earth, but it was the year 2003, meaning he was born in 2000. March 30th, 2000, to be exact.

As someone who was beaten daily as a kid both at home and at school in his previous life, David decided to start working out and training his body with what he could as soon as he was able to freely move his body properly.

Something he found interesting was that a lot of people around him had different colored hair like in anime, though he just assumed it might've been dyed since he didn't look long or hard enough to tell.

He ignored most people after all, so why would he spend too long looking at anyone? Aside from the orphanage's director and a strange girl who constantly stalked him, he didn't clearly know what anyone looked like, almost as if they had a blurred filter over them.

David's own hair was dark brown with white streaks making up about a quarter of his hair in various places. His face was actually much more handsome than others, something he hadn't found out until he started school.

One day when he was brushing his teeth in the shared bathroom, he noticed that he no longer had emerald green eyes. Instead, his right eye was a metallic golden color with various runes floating around and the pupil in that eye looked as if it contained an entire universe within.

Seeing that and thinking about the various hair colors he'd seen, David knew something was quite different in this world, he just couldn't tell what. He even tried using magic, but it only ended in failure.

On the day that David turned 6, he was awoken by a faint chiming sound inside his head and saw a pink holographic screen appear in front of his eyes.

[Ding~!]

[You have awakened the Chaotic God's Harem System!]

David was staring at the message for a few seconds in stunned silence before another message appeared, accompanied by a playful and childish female voice.

[I'm sorry, David! I was unable to find you in these past 6 years, but I'm here now. I would like to tell you more, but I have to go dormant to start my integration. I should wake up properly once you turn 15. Take care until then...!]

'... What the hell?'

David was baffled at what just occurred. He knew he wasn't in a normal version of Earth anymore, but to suddenly get a system only for it to leave right after?

'Whatever, I'll just keep doing my own thing. Weird system name aside, I won't trust anything unless I see benefits firsthand...'

So just like that, David put the existence of the system to the back of his mind.

He started going to school soon after and as he grew older, he realized once again that he had gained some sort of ability.

He had perfect eidetic memory as well as increased intelligence.

Not only did he grow more handsome, taller, and muscular the older he got, but he maintained his perfect grades as well.

As if he could see what problems his appearance could cause, David began hiding his appearance from a young age. Thus, only a few at his school and those at the orphanage knew what he looked like.

The kids in the orphanage barely saw him so they ended up forgetting about him most of the time, but there was still that one girl who would only watch him from afar who was an exception.

By the time David was 14 years old, he was already extremely attractive and muscular, thanks to him training every day since he was only a few years old.

Anyone who saw his real appearance would see a 191 cm tall young man with perfect snow-white skin, medium-length dark brown hair with a quarter of it being white streaks in a wolf cut hairstyle (think Seongji Yuk from Lookism) framing a perfectly chiseled face that would make any Korean idol jealous. He has a radiant emerald green left eye, a magnetic metallic gold right eye with runes floating in his iris and a pupil that looks like the cosmos, intimidatingly sharp and handsome eyebrows, thin pink lips, and a small, narrow nose.

He always wore a facial expression that looked as indifferent as can be, though if a smile were to appear that shows off those pearly white teeth, it'd make any girl blush.

Last, but certainly not least, he had a muscular body that doesn't look gross like a body builder, but is big enough to intimidate others. Put aside the eight-pack of abs he built up, any woman would find the defined obliques and serratus extremely sexy, not to mention his incredibly dense muscles.

His wide chest and back look like the perfect shelter for anyone in danger while also giving girls the temptation of wanting to run their hands across it.

Despite looking as good as he does, throughout every grade in school, he continued to keep himself covered up and disguised so that he wouldn't attract any attention, though he still managed to stand out a bit due to his size.

He was a loner, always maintaining grades at the top of the class, but staying far away from anything else that involved socialization.

He didn't know what anyone looked like as he always kept his head down.

The others in the orphanage stopped interacting with David after he repeatedly told them that he'd prefer to stay by himself.

In summary, David mostly stayed away from people and kept to himself from birth until today.

Today is Monday, March 30th, 2015.

It's David's 15th birthday which is also a week before he starts his first year at high school.

After David woke up and stood up from his bed, he was prepared to go to the bathroom to shower, wash his face, and brush his teeth, but he was stopped by that pink holographic screen he saw all those years ago.

[Good morning, David! Sorry for leaving you alone for 15 years, but we can now get started! Are you ready?]

David stared at the screen in front of him flatly.

'First of all, can you hear me when I just think about communicating with you?'

[Yep!]

'Great. Second of all, who are you and what should I be ready for? I'm planning on spending my day training and would rather not be bothered with pointless discussions.'

[No need to be so snarky, gosh. Still, you've worked on your body quite nicely while I've been gone, it's pretty hot.]

David rolled his eyes, unmoved, and waited for her to finish.

[In response to your question, I am the consciousness that manages the Chaotic God's Harem System created by you and I am here to turn you into the True Sovereign you were meant to be so that--]

'Wait, hold the phone. What do you mean you were created by me? I'm positive I've never even heard of such a system nor have I ever created one. I'm not a god, you know?'

[David, have you not been paying attention to this world? You're currently in Cosma. I thought your status would at least give it away?]

'Cosma? Status? Little girl, you need to explain more in-depth because I'm totally at a loss here...'

[Haaa...]

'Don't you sigh at me.'

[Cosma is the universe you created in your web novel before you died. Do none of the events happening in this world ring any bells for you?]

'Uh... I don't exactly check the news and I don't have a phone so I don't know anything that's going on in the outside world... Also, I don't remember writing a web novel.'

[... Alright, well this should be interesting then... First, call out 'Status' in your head and check your information there.]

David nodded and thought, 'Status.'

[Status]

[Name: David Star]

[Age: 15]

[Title(s): The Creator, The Lonely One]

[Race: Human]

[Chaos Points: 0]

[Abilities: Heaven's Eye]

[Talents: Mental Reboot]

'Oi... Explain more. What are these titles and what's the difference between abilities and talents? Seems a bit contrived...'

[The Creator: You have been marked as the creator of this universe. Some entities are now aware of your existence. Some entities have been altered to your convenience. You have retained your memories of the magic system you created, thus allowing you to use magic early.]

[The Lonely One: As someone who created an entire universe because of loneliness, you have been pitied. Any female that is non-hostile who meets you for the first time will have an unnaturally favorable opinion of you, resulting in them easily accepting outrageous events and thinking about you more intimately. Greatly increases chances of meeting heroines and supporting characters in both normal and ridiculous ways.]

'... That first title doesn't sound very friendly... I'd rather people not be aware of my existence. That second title kind of pisses me off, but at least the effects seem good. Also, magic doesn't exist. I've already tried shouting "FIREBALL!" when I realized this world was different from my Earth. In regards to entities being altered, who exactly are they?'

[First, you can't use magic because you haven't awakened mana yet, though I'll help you with that soon. Second, I am not entirely sure who, but it seems that people you may know are likely different in some way in order to make things easier for yourself in the future... As for entities being aware of your existence, that's an effect that wasn't there until today for some reason and even I'm not sure who the entities are or what they want. Probably nothing bad, though... Anyway, I'll now explain the difference between abilities, and talents.]

[Abilities are powers you are usually born with that can affect the outside world such as 'Heaven's Eye'.]

[Talents are powers you are usually born with that can't affect the outside world directly and are purely internal such as your 'Mental Reboot'.]

'Can you explain what Mental Reboot and Heaven's Eye do?'

[Heaven's Eye allows you to see all forms of energy as long as you power that eye with mana. Your Heaven's Eye is where your right eye used to be, hence the golden color and magical runes rather than green like your left eye. In the future, it will have more effects, but for now, you can only see the flow of energy.]

[Mental Reboot allows you to adjust your mentality as well as giving you perfect eidetic memory and increased intelligence. It seems you used it when you arrived in this world, ridding yourself of most emotions.]

'Ah, so that's why I haven't really felt much.'

[Exactly. Also, you've got a system inventory that can store items, just like you'd expect. No rotting, molding, or decaying. It's quite convenient. Now, do you remember your novel or do you need a minute?]

'Despite having a perfect memory of everything that has happened in my past life, I don't remember writing a novel at all. Though, I now have memories of all types of magical runes and how the magic system functioned.'

[Haaa... It's fine... Let me give you a brief rundown. The universe of Cosma is split into billions of worlds, though you only ever touched upon a few. It was a rather messy story, but you gave the characters life. It is a massive crossover universe filled with various franchises from games, manga, anime, etc. You took a lot of inspiration from fanfics and mashed them all together.]

'Oh... So it was just a trashy fanfic with no real direction, got it...'

[It was messy, but it had a singular purpose, though I'll leave the specifics alone for now. Anyway, my guess as to why you can't remember any plotlines or characters you created is likely because you were a severe alcoholic and got blackout drunk whenever you started writing.]

'How did you know that?'

[Just like you remember everything about yourself, I do as well. Though, I've been embedded with more knowledge and information than you could ever imagine so it isn't surprising. During the last 9 years, I've been integrating with your soul and essentially experiencing your entire past life. Anyway, do you want to know in detail about this world or just the simple things?]

'Huh, sorry you had to see that, must've been a shitty experience. Just tell me the simple things, I don't want to think about anything complicated right now.'

[Understood. According to the plot you wrote, the entire Earth will change at the beginning of next year, 2016. Mana will be introduced to the world and various connections leading to other worlds will appear, bringing with them new landmasses, dungeons, fantasy monsters, and fantasy races. Some changes have already occurred and there are some people here from other worlds already.]

[Something you should know about is the makeup of the universe as it ties in with myself, the system. The base element that makes up all of creation is called Chaos. Everything began and will return to chaos in the end. Atoms, flesh, blood, grass, air, space, time, mana, all of it is created from the power of chaos, or the Chaos Element. Chaos Element, Chaos, or chaos is really interchangeable and doesn't really matter, at least not to us.]

[Also, the supernatural world on Earth already exists from various franchises. I don't know what you were thinking, seriously. You already changed the Earth with mana and brought some franchise characters in from other worlds, but even then, you still added even more? Your head was a jumbled fucking mess!]

'Oi, less sass. Your voice may sound cute, but your attitude is slowly pissing me off.'

[Hmph, blame yourself for writing a clusterfuck of a novel. Anyway, you have less than a year before the entire world completely changes. It's not like the apocalypse or anything really bad will happen, but Earth will grow at a rapid rate and a large portion of the world's global population will get powers. It will take time for people to learn how to use them so you just have to get stronger so you can reign supreme as the True Sovereign of Cosma.]

[Honestly, getting stronger is pretty easy to do. Just like my name entails, you get stronger when you have relations with more and more women as well as causing chaos on Earth and across dimensions. Speaking of the system, now that I'm here, would you like to receive your presents I've been saving?]

'You know my past, yet you want me to have relationships? Ha! In your fucking dreams. Whatever, just give me what you want.'

[You'll need to change your way of thinking, David. With your titles and future powers, betrayal is highly unlikely. Anyway, I'll start the gift distribution now...]
