"Well, I haven't even won five Pokédollars—nothing like that," she sighed.

"So, I'm not very lucky..."

Thinking about all the lottery tickets I'd bought in the past made me feel uneasy for no reason.

Suddenly, Claire laughed.

"Not even five Pokédollars—maybe that's a kind of luck in itself."

"Don't you always buy tickets blindly?"

"But you've never won. That's just plain unlucky."

"So, let's change that!"

"Come with me on an island tour and look for chances to catch Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini!"

Claire was thrilled. She stepped forward and patted Evan on the shoulder, determined to drag him into another adventure.

Hearing her words, he curled his lips.

"Don't be ridiculous," he said.

"Those Pokémon can't be captured."

"They have responsibilities."

"You do know that, right?"

"If you're set on catching a Fairy-type, why not look for Magearna or Diancie instead?"

Evan knew how difficult it was to capture any of the Tapu Pokémon. If they weren't unique, there might be a chance, but if they were, it was impossible.

Better to just take a shower and go to sleep.

If that didn't work, hunting for a sleeping Xerneas seemed more realistic. Even though there was only one Xerneas, it was always resting and not causing trouble.

If he followed Claire, maybe—just maybe—there'd be a slim chance.

But the Tapu Pokémon? They always seemed busy, testing Trainers fated to meet them.

"I don't have time for Trainer games," he added.

Claire was stunned as she listened to Evan mention Magearna and Diancie.

"Diancie… I really want one," she admitted.

"But I don't know where to find it."

"And Magearna? What's that?"

"Is it another kind of Mythical Pokémon?"

She was confused.

A Fairy-type Pokémon called Magearna?

She'd never even heard of it.

When it came to Fairy-type Mythicals, she only knew about Xerneas and the four Tapu Pokémon.

Other than that, there was Zacian and Diancie.

But Magearna?

She'd never heard its name mentioned before.

Rosa and Sophia looked equally puzzled.

Seeing their confusion, Evan frowned.

"You've really never heard of Magearna?"

That didn't seem right.

With their backgrounds, they should have access to information about Legendary and Mythical Pokémon.

Yet all three of them had the same blank expressions.

Was this some kind of information gap due to time travel?

The three girls exchanged looks, still confused.

"Is there really such a Pokémon?"

"Why have we never heard of it?"

Seeing their reaction, Evan finally understood.

After a moment of thought, he said,

"Looks like you guys really don't know."

"But come to think of it, Magearna is a man-made Pokémon."

"It makes sense if you haven't heard of it."

At those words, the three girls were shocked.

"Man-made Pokémon?"

"Are you serious?"

Claire furrowed her brows and stared at Evan seriously.

A man-made Pokémon?

That was illegal.

And dangerous.

Was some lunatic experimenting with Pokémon again?

Hadn't they learned their lesson from what happened hundreds of years ago?

Evan nodded.

"I read about it in an ancient book."

"Why don't you pay attention?"

"It looks humanoid, with a metallic body and a gear-shaped head."

"Its lower half is a round sphere, almost like a dress."

"Maybe some collector has it now."

"It's probably sleeping now, just an empty shell. It looks more like a piece of craftsmanship than a Pokémon."

Evan didn't hold back and shared what he knew.

Maybe the influence of the three families could actually track it down.

If he had to search for it alone, who knew how long it would take—maybe not even in a lifetime.

So, better to let these guys find it.

And once they did, they could figure out the next steps.

Whether it could be awakened was still uncertain.

If not, it would remain nothing more than a decorative artifact.

After hearing Evan's words, everyone was stunned.

"I think I've heard of that before," Sophia murmured.

"It was excavated from some ruins."

"But people always considered it just an old piece of craftsmanship."

She was trying to recall where she had seen something matching Evan's description.

Claire nodded in agreement.

"That's right."

"And there seem to be quite a few of them."

"So, for hundreds of years, it's only been classified as an antique?"

She turned to look at Sophia, who exchanged a glance with her, both of them equally shocked.

Evan was slightly surprised.

"You've seen it?"

"Well… I think so," Claire responded.

"Magearna. That's a man-made Pokémon."

"A Steel and Fairy type."

"And it even has its own exclusive ability."

"If you find one, buy it."

"It's on par with a Mythical Pokémon."

"Of course, waking it up would require some serious research."

This was great news.

Had they really come across one before?

"Let's have Violet buy it!"

"She has to get it!"

"Then, we can each have one!"

Claire Xia's eyes sparkled with excitement as she turned to Sophia.

A Steel and Fairy-type Pokémon.

She could use it, and so could Violet.

If they managed to obtain it, it would be a huge win.

Just imagining it made her grin with excitement.

"Isn't this… kind of wrong?"

Although tempted, Sophia hesitated.

Asking Violet to track it down seemed possible, but it also felt a bit questionable.

She was conflicted.

"No problem!"

"Just tell her it's a Pokémon as strong as a Mythical one."

"She'll definitely want to find it!"

"Hehe~~!"

Claire beamed mischievously.

Evan sighed at her enthusiasm.

"Well, if you do get it, let me study it first."

"We'll need to figure out how to awaken it properly."

Even though he was a little speechless at their approach, Evan still supported the idea.

Violet would definitely be interested.

Claire grinned.

"Alright, I'll contact her later."

"If nothing else, the Magearna you mentioned is probably sitting in some museum somewhere."

"Violet's family deals in all kinds of machines and has connections with museums."

"If we ask her for help, getting Magearna should be no problem."

No one had ever thought that something regarded as a simple relic was actually a Pokémon.

And an artificial one at that?

Claire couldn't help but press further:

"By the way, do you still have the ancient book you were reading?"

"Besides this, were there any other Pokémon mentioned?"

"Honestly, I'm really curious about ancient Pokémon lore."

"Yeah, yeah! And does Magearna look cool?"

That last question was definitely the one she cared about the most.

Evan looked at her excited expression and sighed in exasperation.
