The Devil Instructor: Gardevoir

This is a private evaluation of Gardevoir by Evan's Pokémon.

Gardevoir usually appears gentle and kind, but lately, she has been sticking closely to Evan's side. She even likes to hold Evan when resting.

However, when it comes to training, it's like she becomes a completely different Pokémon.

Claire listened to Evan's words and nodded in agreement.

"Yeah."

"I feel the same way."

"The ability for a Pokémon to fight independently is sometimes crucial."

"It's just like that time when Violet was younger."

"My commands couldn't keep up with her battle speed, and she was almost crying in frustration."

"So pathetic."

"Sometimes, the battle speed of a Pokémon is just too fast for the Trainer's commands to keep up. That's when independent combat ability is really tested."

"Especially for some Trainers who don't understand battles and just give random instructions."

"In the end, they just become a hindrance."

"They have no sense of their own abilities."

"Bad rating~~!"

Does that sound like her?

If you can't keep up with your own Pokémon's battle instincts, sometimes it's better to let them move on their own.

Just trust your Pokémon.

Claire and Evan had a serious conversation about training Pokémon.

On this topic, the two of them shared a lot in common.

Rosa and Sophia, who were following Evan, listened attentively.

For them, these experiences weren't particularly useful at the moment.

As they chatted, they continued walking.

Soon, the four of them saw some Pokémon stopped ahead.

Evan glanced at the scene in front of him and immediately realized—

"We're by the river."

"Let's take a break here."

"We should have lunch before moving on."

"Or maybe we can just set up camp here."

Evan looked around and found the spot to be quite good.

Camping here wouldn't be a bad idea.

Hearing Evan's suggestion, Rosa perked up with interest.

"Then let's camp here! I'm exhausted after walking around for so long."

"...And my legs."

At that, she looked a little embarrassed.

After riding Garchomp here, her legs were still a bit numb.

Even though Evan later arranged for vehicles, the lingering soreness was still there.

She and Claire had both endured the discomfort and kept walking.

Hearing Rosa's words, Evan nodded.

"Then we'll rest here."

"Charizard, Pikachu, go gather some firewood."

"Lurantis, you too."

"Oh, and if you see any rare Pokémon, knock them out and bring them back."

Evan gave out the orders without hesitation.

"pika~~!"

"Char!!"

"Lura~!"

The three Pokémon responded in agreement and ran into the forest.

Seeing this, Luxray and Ampharos followed along.

Evan and the others found a flat area to set up camp.

As he and Rosa finished setting up their tents, Evan turned to Claire.

"You didn't bring a tent?"

Claire blinked.

"Didn't you bring one?"

"I'll just sleep with you tonight!"

Her words instantly made Rosa and Sophia jump in surprise.

That was a bold statement.

Evan, however, didn't believe her nonsense.

But he couldn't resist teasing her.

"Alright."

"Let's sleep together tonight."

This time, it was Claire's turn to be shocked.

Her scalp tingled.

"Hey!"

"I was just joking, and you actually took it seriously?"

"Really annoying."

Claire glared at Evan.

He actually took it seriously.

Evan just shrugged, not bothering to continue the topic.

The joke had run its course.

Claire didn't dwell on it either.

She simply got to work helping out.

Although she didn't have a tent, Claire had brought a sleeping bag.

Without hesitation, she placed it inside Rosa and Sophia's tent.

She could just stay with the two of them for the night.

That settled the tent situation.

Evan got to work setting up the stove and preparing lunch.

Before long, Pikachu and the others returned with firewood.

Soon, the air was filled with steam and the smell of cooking.

Once lunch was ready, Evan took out some energy cubes and handed them to his Pokémon.

On the other side, Claire was doing the same.

She took out the energy cubes she had purchased from Evan and distributed them to her Pokémon.

Just as she was about to finish, she caught a glimpse of something moving in Evan's shadow.

Claire was momentarily confused.

"Marshadow?"

Her eyes widened.

Did Evan actually catch a Marshadow?!

Good guy—Claire could only call him a good guy.

"Hehe, are you surprised?"

"I was just as shocked when I saw it this morning," Sophia chimed in, stepping closer to the stunned Claire.

To be honest, Evan capturing Marshadow was beyond surprising—it was enviable.

This was a Mythical Pokémon!

Claire quickly snapped out of her daze, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

"Evan~~"

She suddenly ran toward him, her voice dripping with exaggerated sweetness.

At that moment, Marshadow's smoky form visibly shuddered.

Without hesitation, it grabbed its food and disappeared back into the shadows.

Meanwhile, Evan felt a chill run down his spine.

"Speak normally!!!"

What the heck was this woman doing?

"Hehe~~!"

"Evan, you seem to have incredible luck!"

"How about we take a trip to Otherworldly Island someday?"

Claire's excitement was through the roof.

Evan had a pseudo-legendary, a Shiny Pokémon, and now a Marshadow?!

His luck was simply unreal.

So, a bold idea formed in her mind.

Hearing her suggestion, Evan's expression was full of confusion.

"Otherworldly Island??"

"You want me to take you to battle the Tapus?"

In an instant, he pieced together Claire's intentions.

She nodded eagerly.

"Exactly!!"

"Look at you—your team is full of Shinies, and even a Champion's Dragonite sought you out."

"Now you've got Marshadow, too!"

"No one else has this kind of luck."

"If I take you to Otherworldly Island, maybe we'll encounter the Tapus!"

"Then I can take the trial and everything!"

"Hey hey hey~~!"

Just thinking about it made her giddy with excitement.

She could already see the future.

And that future included her capturing a Legendary Pokémon!

Evan's mouth twitched slightly.

"Sorry, but I actually have terrible luck."

"I've never even won a lottery ticket."

Claire blinked in disbelief.

"Wait… you can actually win those?"
