Is Magearna good-looking?
Well, Evan thinks it looks pretty nice.
Even though it's a machine without a gender, it defaults to being female.
Magearna also has a special ability—like Gardevoir, it can sense the emotions of other Pokémon. But even more comprehensively.
Magearna is the perfect maid Pokémon.
Thinking about some of its functions, Evan couldn't help but explain them.
After all, Captivate is a source of motivation.
"Magearna is very elegant. When it moves, it looks like a robot wearing a maid outfit."
When Claire heard this, her eyes suddenly lit up.
A maid outfit?
This is good.
"It also has the special ability to sense human emotions, physical conditions, and even various cooking skills."
"It can even use Pain Split when it's in your hand."
"And when you're in danger, she will fight tooth and nail to protect you."
As Evan explained, Claire's mouth started watering.
"That's it—I've decided!"
"I'm going to find Violet right now!"
With that, she took out her phone and ran off to call Violet.
Seeing this, the corners of Evan's mouth twitched slightly.
Her mobility is maxed out.
Evan ignored her and focused on his lunch.
Because of Claire's interruption, Evan's meal was delayed.
Sophia and Rosa also sat down.
The three of them ate first, ignoring Claire, who was still on the phone.
She tried several times, but it seemed like her calls were getting declined.
Still, she persevered.
After several attempts, the video call finally connected.
"Hey, hey, hey, Violet~~!"
"Let me tell you, I found out something amazing."
"Do you want a Mythical Pokémon?"
"And it's Steel-type..."
As soon as she spoke, she started exaggerating.
On the other end, Violet looked completely confused.
What the heck?
A Steel-type Mythical Pokémon?
Registeel? Or maybe Zacian and Zamazenta?
What is this girl even talking about?
"What nonsense are you spouting?"
"If this isn't important, I'm hanging up."
Violet frowned, already planning to end the call.
She was sure Claire was just messing with her.
"Hey, hey, hey!"
"Are you even listening?"
"Evan told me about a Steel-type artificial Pokémon."
"It's as powerful as a Mythical Pokémon!"
"No one has found it yet, and you can be the first!"
"Don't you want it?"
Violet was about to hang up, but when she heard Evan's name, she hesitated.
If Evan said it, then maybe it was true.
She thought for a moment before asking:
"Evan said that?"
If it was from Evan, she had to take it seriously.
Claire nodded firmly.
"Yes, Evan told me himself!"
"Evan is with you?"
"Give him the phone."
"I don't believe you!"
Violet's skeptical voice came through the phone.
Claire looked frustrated.
But since she needed Violet's help, she reluctantly handed her phone to Evan instead of snapping back.
"She doesn't believe me. You explain it."
Claire placed the phone on the table, then sat down and resumed eating.
As soon as she took a bite, her eyes lit up.
Evan's cooking was amazing.
So, she stopped thinking about the call and focused entirely on her meal.
Evan picked up the phone, looking at Violet on the screen with a speechless expression.
"Evan!"
"Is what she said about the Steel-type Pokémon true?"
"The kind that can be captured without being discovered?"
Apparently, she was interested.
If this was real, she had to try.
She needed confirmation.
While eating, Evan explained,
"That's right.
Magearna.
A Steel- and Fairy-type Pokémon.
It looks like a piece of craftsmanship.
In fact, Pokémon have been created since ancient times.
There are quite a few man-made Pokémon.
Like Golurk.
Like Porygon.
There are still some undiscovered ones, including Magearna.
I guess even if it's found, people will think it's just an ornament.
When it's asleep, it looks like armor. Only when activated does it reveal its true form..."
After finishing, Evan described Magearna's appearance again.
In reality, there are quite a few artificial Pokémon.
Aside from the ones mentioned, modern society has also produced Pokémon like Silvally and Mewtwo!
But whether those two have actually appeared yet is unknown.
So Evan didn't say much.
Instead, Violet picked up on the mention of Porygon and Golurk.
She frowned at Evan's description.
"I think I've heard of it..."
"Wait a minute, I'll have someone check into it right now.
"I'll have an answer for you by tomorrow at the latest."
With that, she hung up, hurrying to gather information.
If this was real, she had to get involved.
Seeing Violet quickly end the call, Claire couldn't help but laugh.
"Now I'm really looking forward to it."
Then she turned to Evan with a hopeful look.
"Evan, your cooking is amazing.
Can I come over for dinner in the future?"
Claire had also heard what Violet said.
But all she could do now was wait for updates.
So instead, her focus shifted to the food on the table.
It was so good.
Could she get Evan to cook for her again?
"No."
Of course, that wasn't happening.
What was she even thinking?
Just wishful thinking.
Still eating?
I should just take your food away.
"Ugh, stingy~!"
Claire pouted, a little dissatisfied.
But she didn't argue.
Anyway, if she wanted to go, could Evan really stop her?
Well, it's decided then.
The four of them continued eating lunch, chatting about Pokémon from time to time.
After finishing, Evan cleaned up the dishes.
Then he sat under the shade of a tree, enjoying a quiet moment.
Meanwhile, several girls ran to the river to soak their feet, looking completely relaxed.
The Pokémon weren't training either, just playing around.
This peaceful scene made Evan feel at ease for once.
Time passed quickly, and before they knew it, the sun was setting.
In the forest, darkness fell even faster.
So Evan and the others had a simple early dinner before heading into their tents for the night.
Tomorrow, they would continue deeper into the mountains.
Whether they'd find Salamence or anything else...
That would depend on their luck.
