Lucas and the old chief sat opposite each other, their expressions grave as they discussed their ongoing investigation.

"Any results in the Team Rocket investigation?" the old chief asked, leaning forward slightly.

"No," Lucas replied with frustration. He had utilized the full resources and databases of the Interpol organization again, but found nothing substantial. "There's no trace of Team Rocket or any technology using sound waves to drive away Pokémon. Nothing at all."

It was as if none of it existed in this world.

Well, technically he did find "Rockets," but it was merely a domestic express company named after rockets, with their team of outstanding employees called "The Rockets."

"Any new progress in the Team Magma investigation?" the old chief inquired, his voice tired.

"No," Lucas answered simply.

The two fell silent, the weight of their failed investigation hanging in the air between them.

"Should we consider the possibility of a parallel world?" Lucas suggested weakly.

A nefarious organization hiding completely under Interpol's radar without leaving a single trace was troubling enough. Then there was Team Magma, whose existence they had to reluctantly accept for now.

But now there was another organization—Team Rocket.

The credibility of the parallel world theory was becoming harder to dismiss.

No! It had to be a parallel world! It must be!

These past few days, Lucas felt like he was investigating something that didn't exist at all. He had tried 850 different methods and conducted various other investigations, but each attempt was like punching air—no response whatsoever. It was agonizing.

The old chief sighed softly. "Let's watch the video first."

"This is footage from a secret location in the resort islands of the beautiful country. It was just uploaded to Interpol, and they've asked for our help." The old chief clicked the mouse and played the video.

The footage showed Chris attacking Po Town alone. As with previous videos, some images were slightly blurred to conceal Chris's face. The battle scene only showed the first half, when Chris was using just his Greninja to fight.

Ten minutes later, the old chief and Lucas stared at each other speechlessly.

"Team Skull?" The corners of Lucas's mouth trembled slightly.

Was it ever going to end?

First there was Team Magma and Team Rocket, and now Team Skull...

Where did so many evil organizations come from in this world?

The point was that they still spoke the Chinese dialect, which explained why the beautiful country had sent the video to Interpol and asked China to help investigate.

"This will be your task for the next period—investigate Team Skull," the old chief instructed.

Lucas covered his face with one hand, his expression pained. After a moment, he let out a long breath as if he had made up his mind. "This is the last time. If I still can't find anything, I'll submit a report directly to my superiors stating that these secret images come from a parallel world!"

The old chief nodded solemnly. "I'll personally sign it when the time comes."

"Now, you'd better examine this carefully." The old chief moved the laptop toward Lucas and clicked to play the video again.

Lucas rubbed his furrowed brow with his thumb and watched the video attentively.

Studying the Greninja, he formed a theory.

Judging from the Surf move that Greninja used in the video, its strength must be at Elite-level.

There weren't many Elite trainers in this world, and even fewer with Elite Greninjas. That could be a starting point for his investigation.

At the Green Valley Gym, Chris reflected on his adventures.

After demolishing Po Town, traveling through the Alola region had become somewhat mundane.

What remained for Chris was to follow the main island challenge: defeat the Kahunas of the remaining two islands and complete the trials set by the captains.

There were two trials each on Ula'ula Island and Poni Island, which would yield four Z-Crystals upon completion. Additionally, each Kahuna would provide two Z-Crystals, making a total of eight.

Chris counted what he had obtained so far—two from clearing the Po Town mission.

That would make exactly eighteen Z-Crystals, as the final Kahuna of Poni Island, Hapu, offered self-selected Z-Crystals. This perfectly corresponded to the eighteen different Pokémon types.

So far, Chris's purpose for coming to Alola had been accomplished.

But Chris didn't leave Alola directly. Instead, he headed to the "fifth island"—Aether Paradise, an artificial island serving as the Aether Foundation's base.

Chris wanted to see if he could trigger the Ultra Wormhole plot.

Unfortunately, nothing happened, though he discovered that Beast Balls—used to capture Ultra Beasts—could be purchased at the entrance to Aether Paradise.

The price wasn't cheap: a thousand Pokédollars each.

Chris considered it and decided that since the game backpack didn't take up physical space, he might as well stock up.

He spent 100,000 Pokédollars to purchase 100 Beast Balls and stored them in his backpack for future use.

"It's almost time to leave," Chris thought, reviewing his objectives for visiting Alola.

He had acquired the Z-Crystals and Z-Ring.

He had also obtained the Totem Salamence, and when he eventually collected 120 Totem stickers, Professor Oak would give him another Totem Pokémon—Gumshoos.

It seemed that collecting Totem stickers offered rewards at intervals of five.

If Po Town could yield 10 Totem stickers at once, that meant he could potentially obtain ten Totem Dragon Pokémon.

Next year, perhaps he could build the fourth Dragon Den in China at the Green Valley Ranch.

A "Green Valley Dragon Den" featuring Totem Salamence, Totem Kommo-o, and Totem Goodra!

That would be a plan for later.

It seemed there were no other immediate goals. There would definitely be a way to open the Ultra Wormhole eventually. He could return to Aether Paradise the next time he visited Po Town.

Chris suspected this might have something to do with the plot progression in his home region of Hoenn.

He commanded his protagonist to Fly to Hau'oli City and leave Alola by plane.

Time to return to Hoenn first.

If the level 75 recommended Po Town dungeon had been so easy for him, perhaps he could attempt the level 80 Team Magma and Team Aqua dungeons.

He boarded the plane at 8:00 in the morning.

By 8:00 in the evening, Chris had arrived in the Hoenn region.

First, he spent half an hour harvesting berries throughout Hoenn. Then he visited the Pokémon Center to heal his team, swapped out his main Pokémon, and headed directly to Lilycove City.

Between the Team Magma and Team Aqua base dungeons, Chris naturally prioritized Team Aqua. After all, it potentially contained a Master Ball.

[Yes/No to enter dungeon "Team Aqua Base" (special rewards for first completion)]

[Dungeon recommended entry level: 80]

"Enter!"
