"Staff Officer Lin... He's okay. His mapping skills are decent, he works meticulously, but he's timid. He tends to hesitate and lacks significant ability. His relationships with colleagues are generally fine, though he's a bit stingy."
"Who does he usually interact with?" Kang Chen had asked once—right before he collapsed. Staff Officer Lin had anxiously sought out Huo Er outside the tent, seemingly with something urgent, but Huo Er ignored him.
"Usually, just the colleagues he works with. He's more introverted, so apart from his coworkers whom he sees daily, he doesn't seem particularly close to anyone else."
Kang Chen tossed aside the towel. "Keep an extra eye on him. If there's anything unusual, report it to me."
The description of Staff Officer Lin sounded unremarkable, but he couldn't be overlooked.
"Understood... Mr. Chen, does Staff Officer Lin have... an issue?"
"Possibly yes, possibly no. Go now, and don't tell anyone about this."
"Yes, Mr. Chen. I understand."
