Blake was surprised by Luna's enthusiasm. "Okay! As long as you don't find it annoying!" he said with a smile.
Luna, for the first time, realized just how capable Blake was. And what fascinated her most was that all his strengths aligned perfectly with her interests.
For instance, he could communicate and even fight with magical creatures! Though she couldn't learn that ability herself, which was a bit disappointing, there was still something exciting—Blake had agreed to be her translator! The idea of speaking directly with magical creatures thrilled her beyond words.
And then there was his magic.
Luna had seen many skilled wizards, but Blake was different. He knew too many spells. Watching him set up the tent, she never even saw him use his hands.
A simple wave of his wand, and the tent assembled itself effortlessly. But this wasn't one of those self-assembling magical tents. No, this was just Blake working magic beyond her understanding. She had no idea what spell he had used. Meanwhile, the kettle in front of her hadn't even started boiling yet.
She glanced at Blake and wondered, if he hadn't let her make tea, would he have simply waved his wand and brewed it instantly?
While Blake busied himself, a system notification rang in his ears…
A familiar feeling of satisfaction filled him. If there weren't a limit on treasure chest drops per person, he might have continued indefinitely.
Once the tent was up, he stopped Nagini, who was about to help with dinner. "You should go in and rest first. You're not as good at cooking as I am."
The tent Blake set up wasn't just a simple Muggle tent—it was magically expanded inside, with multiple rooms. After persuading Nagini to find a room to relax in, he set up a table outside and prepared to cook.
He soon noticed Luna's shining gaze.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked, amused.
"Blake, you're so considerate," Luna said dreamily, sitting on a rock while the kettle squeaked over the fire.
Blake puffed out his chest and grinned. "Ahem, I'm always very considerate… By the way, what do you want to eat? My cooking is excellent."
Luna's eyes sparkled. "You can make anything?"
"Of course!" Blake answered proudly.
"Then… I'll eat whatever you make."
She had originally wanted pudding, but making pudding in the middle of the wilderness seemed difficult. However, Blake surprised her yet again.
He placed four eggs on the table. "I seem to have heard that you really like pudding?"
Luna looked at him in surprise. "How did you know? Wait, does that mean you didn't just happen to bring enough ingredients by chance?"
Blake spread his hands. "For some small reasons, I can carry a lot of things with me."
He wasn't lying. Not only did he have access to his system warehouse, but his levitating cloak had enormous storage pockets. He could carry nearly anything, even living creatures, thanks to the Master Ball in his system inventory.
"That's why I can make whatever food you name."
Luna thought for a moment and asked, "But what if I name something you don't know how to cook?"
Blake smirked and reached into his pocket, pulling out several thick books, stacking them onto the table. The weight made the sturdy table groan.
"Actually, I even carry cookbooks with me."
Luna's eyes widened. "You've read that many cookbooks?!"
Blake chuckled. "Well… actually, these are all just indexes."
Luna: "???!!"
[Ding! Shock detected!] [Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining a golden treasure chest!] [Ding! The treasure chest dropped by this target today has reached its limit.]
Hearing the system notification, Blake sighed in mild regret before putting away the "cookbooks."
"Ahem, I was just joking."
Then, he started unloading ingredients from his system warehouse. "You make the tea first. I'll whip up several flavors of pudding. Oh, and ask Sister Nagini if she wants anything."
Luna nodded and went inside. Once she was out of sight, Blake exaggeratedly pulled a large oven out of his pocket…
A while later, Luna returned. "Nagini said 'whatever.'"
Blake smirked. "That's always the hardest request."
But for him, it wasn't difficult at all. Under Luna's curious gaze, he pulled out a casserole pot.
As the food cooked, Blake circled the camp, raising his wand.
"Protego Totalum." "Repello Muggletum."
One by one, over ten protective spells were cast. To an outsider, their entire campsite would simply vanish.
By the time he returned, Luna was watching him with fascination.
Anticipating her curiosity, Blake explained, "These spells are essential for traveling wizards. They keep Muggles from seeing our magic, help us comply with the International Statute of Secrecy, and protect us from wild creatures or dangerous wizards. The outside world isn't Hogwarts—it's full of unknown dangers."
Luna sighed. "You know so much. When will I ever learn as much as you?"
Blake thought for a moment. "I'll teach you everything I know. Then you'll know as much as I do."
Luna's eyes lit up. "That makes sense! I'll spend more time with you, then!"
As the night deepened, the aroma of pudding filled the air. Blake set up a dining table by the fire, placing a small pot of magically glowing sunflower plants nearby, making the camp feel warm and cozy.
"I've prepared several kinds of puddings," Blake announced, setting down plates. "Matcha egg pudding, peach no-bake pudding, caramel pudding…"
Nagini's eyes lit up as Blake also placed a small casserole before her, unveiling its contents.
"Eel casserole rice," he said. "The main ingredients are eel, rice, and vegetables. It may look simple, but I think you'll like it."
Nagini inhaled deeply, her expression full of joy. "It smells amazing! Blake, I love this smell!"
Luna took a bite of caramel pudding, savoring its sweetness. Then, she glanced at Nagini, noticing something strange.
"Sister Nagini, doesn't the rice smell… fishy to you?"
Nagini blinked in confusion. "Fishy? No…"
Blake quickly intervened. "Luna, I think you might be mistaken."
Nagini suddenly understood.
No wonder the casserole tasted so delicious to her. It wasn't just about Blake's skill—it was because her snake-like nature found fishy scents appetizing.
Luna hesitated. "Really? Maybe I just imagined it…"
Nagini glanced at Blake gratefully. He was protecting her secret, letting her live as a human. She lowered her head in thought.
Blake noticed her expression and said reassuringly, "Everything will be fine."
Nagini smiled, nodding. "Yeah."
This was another promise from him—his promise to help her become fully human once again. And for now, that was more than enough.
