Chapter Three
Aurelia Wood held the card in her hand, "You wanted five hundred thousand USD? It's all here!"
The man looked skeptical, "Why didn't Arthur Baker come himself?"
"If he came, wouldn't that arouse suspicion?"
The man thought for a moment and sneered, "Being overly cautious, huh?"
As he spoke, he reached out to grab the money.
Aurelia dodged quickly, "I want to see the goods!"
Only then did the man pull out a USB drive from his bag, "Everything you want is in here."
She hurriedly took it, while the man snatched the card from her hand, "Tell Arthur Baker to make sure he doesn't try to fool me."
The man waved the card in his hand, pointing to the balance on it.
This made Aurelia feel a little guilty.
How could she really give him five hundred thousand USD...
But there was no time to think; she could only muster the courage and say, "Arthur Baker won't shortchange you a single penny, just make sure you don't mess with it."
"I'm all about honesty."
