Chapter 4
"She can't answer the phone right now. She's in the shower."
As soon as Kevin Gregory said it, Aurelia Wood pinched him hard without hesitation, quickly snatched the phone back, and hung up. She glared at Kevin furiously, "What are you doing? What nonsense are you spouting? Who's on a date with you? Who's in the shower?!"
Saying she was in the shower—what would Arthur Baker think of her now?!
The thought alone made Aurelia anxious, but she didn't dare call Arthur back to explain.
At this moment, she really didn't have the courage to answer Arthur's call.
Aurelia angrily grabbed a pillow from the car and hurled it at Kevin. "Bastard! You jerk!!"
She kept throwing things at him, but Kevin's face suddenly darkened. He caught her wrist in one swift motion. "The real jerk isn't me! You know full well who it is!"
