Rose PoV
Anis giggled and ran after her uncle after digesting her pancakes.
Sil laughed as he ran laps around our yard.
"Sil, slow down!" Alli yelled. "Anis can't run as much as you!"
Sil gasped and stopped. He turned around and waited for Anis.
Anis toddled after Sil, her little legs working hard to keep up. Her cheeks were flushed with excitement, and her laughter filled the air as she caught up to her uncle.
Sil crouched down to her level, a big grin on his face. "Ya did well, Anis!"
She giggled and closed her little eyes.
Alarmed, I stood up and walked over. Had Anis overdone it again?
I quickly made my way over to Anis, my heart skipping a beat with concern. It wouldn't be the first time she'd pushed herself a bit too hard in her excitement to keep up with Sil. As I approached, I saw her swaying slightly on her feet, her energy clearly waning.
"Hey there, little penguin," I said gently, crouching down beside her. "Are you okay?"
