It would only take the two a few hours to wake up properly after having their energy sapped away, sleeping on separate beds, the boys watching on. Solomon, with his red rags, was quick on cutting a bit through Harvard's Multiply spell to act as bandages for any wounds they were inflicted. Shady would try to keep an eye out, seeing the full moon beginning to rise, as the two spoke. "Wowowowowa.....What...where?" The woman recalled, her vision blurred, trying to regain focus as she'd see the children. "Oh! Waow! Hello there!" She was quick to have a pep in her step as she awakened, her fox ears beside her head twitching, her positivity seeping.
Conversely, the man in dark would rub his head as he'd try to get up. "Damn...what a headache... Was I-" He'd begin, noticing the kids and holding his tongue. "Great. Have to restrain myself. Was about to say a swear just then..." His own outlook was more moodier, brooding somewhat, his coat adjusted, his gloves tightened. What was interesting to note for the boys was that his eyes were pure white, a ring around its center to signify an iris, for sure, but nothing else besides it.
"You're welcome, by the way! You were at each other's throats so much, I had to stop the fight and drag you guys into a hospital!" Harvard replied, still in his Theia fusion, letting the rings move around to push the blankets onto their bodies.
"Ohhhhhh, That's what made me black out! Waow, Waow! Thank you so much, little guy!" The woman was quick in trying to hug the boy, but her arms phased through immediately once she realized she was brushing against air and leaves. "...Oops."
"Don't mind her, she's a bit slow on the intake. That being said, what exactly were we fighting as?" The brooder asked, tilting his head to try and understand how he took such a form.
"Well, one of you was a massive fox, the other as a giant mouth. You tell me." Harvard was quick in his response, yet he couldn't help but smile, or at least, attempt to make one with his non-existent mouth. The woman would chuckle a bit, while the man would sigh.
"Great. That stupid prophecy's acting up again. Tsukiya, you said you had that one under control. The hell?" The man's response, while annoyed, never seemed to raise in tone. It was stationary, quiet, yet coordinated, like a parent giving directions.
"Well I'm sorry, Envy! Tam-Tam's still mad at you! I tried everything to make sure she calms down, but she wouldn't wanna let up!"
"Ok, Tsukiya. Envy. Name's Harvard Helsing. Those are my friends Zazel, Stolas, and Solomon. Now that introductions are over, what's the deal with this 'Sozo Kurorai' and 'King Cliffside'?" Harvard was cutting through their argument quickly, not trying to waste any time in the matter at hand.
"...You mean our Dads?" The two answered unanimously. Stolas' eyes widened with shock regarding King's side, whilst Zazel and Harvard would both be stunned at how they were more alike than before. Solomon had to step in to keep talking, shooing the boys away so that he can have some space.
"If that's who they are, yeah. Your dads. What's with this talk regarding a 'war'??" The Biblical Sorcerer asked.
"Ooh! Are you going to participate in it?" Tsukiya's ears twitched some more, prompting the boys to question themselves, yet Solomon would nod.
"If it means we get to learn what's going on, yeah. We got some business with Sozo specifically, considering we had an encounter with one Jesta Spade. Ever heard of him?" The boys would notice that as Solomon spoke his name, one that was originally not allowed by those under the contract, his tongue was just fine. Most likely, his services are now in their own public consciousness. Such a name is no longer a concern if they end up speaking out of line.
"Good grief... He got to you kids too?" Envy brushed his hands against his slick hair, a black substance coming out of it. "Should definitely let him know about this, then. He's already got his hands full with a couple of contractors already. Gonna be a pain in the-. . . Butt. Pain in the butt, that he has another couple taking part."
"Er... We didn't really TOOK his deal. He ah... Did some personal stuff that we're dealing with firsthand."
"Ahhh, the other route he took then."
"Wait, he traumatized someone else before??"
"Well..." He'd be quick in pointing at a nearby room, small murmurs made inside. "That could be something."
Harvard immediately went out of his Fusion state, his body back to normal, as the other boys continued to interrogate them. As he did, he noticed what was going on: A small child, no less than his age, in a white gown. Her body shifts somewhat, being more and more nervous as the preparations are in order, her hair let down, reaching around her shoulders. A mother, assumingly hers, would be clasping her hands, praying for her child to make it through. The doctors moved out of the way, a sign visible to the Magician to see what operation was currently taking place.
A Heart Surgery.
"Hey..." The boy began, waving to the girl. "You ah... You ok?"
She was startled by such a voice, yet as she saw his face, she simply nodded. "Mhm..." She replied, her voice weak and mixed with a small cough. "...Mr. Doctor and Ms. Nurse told me that I'm gonna have a new heart today. My old one's been so hurt for so long..."
"Is it a virus? I can help if it is!"
She shook her head, though she smiled as she heard his compassion. "Thank you... but it's not that. It's a disfigure... My chambers are too small. I can't take in as much blood as I usually can, and Mr. Doctor said I may not survive if I try to grow up with it. He even said this surgery may be a bit life threatening. Mommy's been so scared for so long... and Daddy didn't seem to like what happened to me. Mommy said he's in a better place now... but I'm scared I'm gonna leave her. I don't want Mommy to be sad..." Harvard was mortified by her words, yet as he tried to reach out to her, he could feel her skin being ice cold, as if she was already dead. She'd back up from his touch, anxious and focusing back on herself, yet from that glimpse she had, she noticed that something was different.
His eyes were dilated to a smaller shape, his anger manifesting once more.
He'd be quick to cast a few spells and summon two monsters, Alice and Genomix. A Fusion spell would immediately combine the two, biting into one of his fingers so that the blood seeps into the new form, the DNA being taken in. "There. This outta do it." He'd finish, giving the Girl his result: A Doll, one that possessed the same mask as the deer, a white, prim dress with black laces, as well as a happy smile.
"A Gift...?"
"And a way to make sure your heart's better. Keep the doll on you. She'll make sure you can walk and breathe like a normal person again."
The girl was at a loss for words on what he said, tears begin to swell up. "You....Sniff...You really mean it? I'm going to-"
"Live? Damn right you are! I'm Harvard Helsing! Soon-to-be Hero! If I can't help you out with such a defect, then I wouldn't be alive right now! You're gonna make it. I'll make sure of it, 100%!"
The girl can't help but cry in joy as she hugged him, his body chilled to his bones as he felt her embrace. "Thank you! Thank you-u-u!!" She'd weep, smiling as she nuzzled on him. Such sobs were ugly, yet she would muster the strength to look back at him as she spoke again. "Applin. Applin Frittania. I will never forget you for this gift, Harvard! I never thought I'd find someone as nice as-."
"You're gonna be ok. I promise that." He'd interrupt, smiling as he'd give her one more hug before leaving, watching the doctors take notice to see her smile, pondering what exactly did he do. As they saw the doll, they looked amongst one another and would decide to let her keep it, if anything than to calm her as she prepares for the surgery.
