"I guess that useless Pilaf was actually good for something, to think he knew about the location Piccolos was sealed!" sitting on a hill far away, Dr. Gero watched the magical dragon Shenron return King Piccolo to his prime.
"I've collected Goku's DNA and now I have Piccolo's, I just need the DNA of Frieza or his father and ill be ready. As soon as I can get my hands on Frost Demon Dna, I can finally once again recreation the perfect being to the walk the planet, Cell!" Gero's smile turned maniac watching the namekian regain his youth.
"By now Goku will easily defeat Piccolo thanks to my meddling that forced the boy to grow stronger, it looks like I'll need to step in and give the namekian a little boost. He'll make a good android 13!" Dr Geros evil Laugh rang out for miles, the three androids next to him looked at each other in confusion.

Krillin flew around aimlessly, he'd been keeping up with draining and refilling his magic gourd with Paradise potion but it was useless to him at the moment without access to the time chamber.

Krillin was actually surprised at how high his powerlevel had grown, just learning how to control his Ki and fighting for nearly a year straigh had increased it drastically.

Shadow boxing at the bottom of the ocean, Krillin moved very slowly due to the tons of salt water that put pressure on him at all times. With each movement causing torn muscle, Krillins healing factor began regrowing them back stronger.
It turned out that Dr Briefs was still years away from fully developing a gravity room, not to mention he had a laundry list of other machines he would build before a useless gravity room.
Not knowing what else to do, he went back to Master Roshi's House to train only to realize he hadn't learned the secondary technique this old man was known for, the evil containment wave!
Krillin phenomenal Ki control allowed him to learn this move with ease, the speed at which Krillin kearned it shocked Roshi but also made him glad that another person knew this technique that could save the world.
After having finished his training with master Roshi, Krillin sat on the beach looking at the tide coming in and out when suddenly he had an idea!
After thinking about it, Krillin realized that the pressures of the deep ocean could provide him the resistance needed for training. He immediately bought a Capsule that had an underwater moon pool in it.
Krillin naively thought little of the ocean, he searched for this worlds version of the mariana trench and began to swim downward. Little did he realized just how powerful the pressures was down there, it was the equivalent to 1000x gravity!
He had to desperately fly upwards to prevent himself from being crushed to death under that pressure, he even had to use a senzu bean just to give himself the energy needed to go against all of that pressure! Now he found a part of the ocean that he had to guess was around 25x the pressure of earths gravity.
Just moving under all of this salt water took Krillins entire strength, thankfully he seemed to be growing leaps and bounds under pressure. Whenever he runs out of oxygen, he'd entered the underwater moonpool that had a machine with a tube that ran to the surface, providing him with fresh oxygen.
Just as he got through a round of training, the alarm Krillin had set up with the system was blaring.
'Looks like the tournaments in a week, I can't wait to see the progress Goku achieved!' Krillin re-entered the moonpool and typed a few buttons on the computer before the entire thing slight raised off the ocean floor.
Training underwater was incredible for growth, but he had to carefully ascend or else he'll be killed from rapid decompression aka the Bends. Krillin knew he'd probably be fine because of his strong body, but he wasnt gonna chance dying to something totally avoidable.

Arriving fashionably late, Krillin hopped off his flying nimbus to see Roshi, Bulma, Launch, Yamcha, Oolong, Puar, and even Roshi's turtle!
Master Roshi seemed to be in a dispute with a similar looking old man, by that old man side was a tall man with an eye on his forehead and what appeared to be a kid who's skin was sickly white with red cheeks.
'So I finally meet Chiaotzu and Tien, I'm glad the story hasn't changed so much that I don't meet them. As for Master Crane, that dudes an asshole who Tien will kill later.' Krillin quickly walked over to the registration desk and immediately signed in.
"Thank God you arrive Krillin, there's only 5 minutes left before registrations are over! Did you meet Goku again, the boy hasn't signed in!" Roshi yelled out, decideding to ignore master Crane.
"My disciple will show you that my style is, and always has been, the superior fight style Roshi!" Crane yelled out as he angrily walked away, only for Roshi to pick his ears like he hadn't heard anything.
"I'm sure Goku will show up, I met him not long ago a-"Krillin stopped mid sentence as he felt the Ki signature of Goku quickly flying in.
What shocked Krillin wasn't Goku's arrival, it was his powerful Ki! As the tailed boy came closer to him, Krillin slowly realized why Goku had become so strong.
Hopping off his golden cloud, a man with his hair wrapped up quickly dashed past the gang and wrote his name down just seconds before a bell range out and the registration was over.
"Whew! Looks like I made it guys!" The man said to gang, only to get a confused look from them.
"Do I know you? I think you might be mistaking us for someone else." Bulma said with a sad face, thinking Goku missed his chance to sign up.
"What are you talking about Bulma, it me Goku!" The man said to them, only for every to look him in shock!
"You're Goku?! But you can't be!" Bulma cried out and the ganged nodded.
"It must be this wrap that's confusing you, let me take it off". The man slowly unveiled his head to reveal a familiar and unique hair style that confined his identity, it really was Goku!

[Goku/Kakarot: powerlevel is 1531] looking at the Saiyan powerlevel and height, Krillin knew their could only be one explanation.
"Let me guess Goku, you had Popo let you use the Hyperbolic time chamber" Krillin said with a faint smile.
"How do you know?! After seeing your blinding speed when you talked to Popo last, I asked him what it was that you did to become so strong and he told me about the chamber. I spent the full 2 years in their training with Popo and then continued that training even after exiting" Goku said rubbing his head in embarrassment, he didn't want Krillin to think he was just copying him.
Krillin was about to reply when suddenly he felt his hair stand on end, he looked at the direction it came from and saw four figures who were entirely cloaked in black and wore mask.
"Looks like this tournament might be interesting after all..." Krillin face was dead serious
