Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Is That Really the Point?

"Grace is here," a sharp-eyed student spotted the figure at the door and shouted.

Grace glanced at him, placed the test papers on the podium, and smiled, "Our class is welcoming a new student today, everyone please welcome her."

She looked towards the door and clapped her hands.

Claire Green switched off her phone and walked in with a laid-back demeanor.

Seeing the girl's appearance clearly, everyone gasped, and the classroom instantly fell silent.

The girl's face was exquisitely beautiful, with eyes that slanted upwards, carrying a hint of mischief and arrogance.

"Claire Green."

A concise self-introduction, not a word more.

The classroom was so quiet that even breathing could be heard distinctly.

Grace twitched her mouth; this new student was truly refreshingly unconventional, she had never seen such a self-introduction.

She looked at the last seat in the class and pointed, "You can sit next to John Sinclair for now; I'll help adjust your seat later."

John Sinclair regained his senses, dumbfoundedly looking at the girl walking towards him.

This face was definitely the most beautiful he had ever seen. People say roses have thorns; seeing this, it's no wonder.

She wore a shirt with a tie around her neck, maybe finding it uncomfortable, she tugged at it with one hand, while the other was in her pocket, laid-back yet alluring.

It was the first time everyone felt that a girl tying a tie could be so chic, some girls even blushed.

Claire Green stuffed her things into the desk, sat with one leg crossed, playing games on her phone.

Next, the sound of gunfire constantly rang out.

Everyone exchanged glances; this new arrival was quite audacious.

John Sinclair turned his head to see the girl beside him expertly operating the character, holding a 98K, shooting someone on the opposite slope, a clean headshot.

He couldn't help but exclaim inwardly, cool.

The chubby guy shed tearful thoughts internally seeing him like this.

He used to be mad at me, now he's staring at another girl without moving.

Grace on the podium clapped her hands, bringing everyone back to their senses, and distributed the test papers.

"Today we'll have a small test."

No sooner had she spoken than a wave of groans ensued.

"Quietly, take the test seriously," Grace's voice wasn't loud, but everyone heard it clearly enough.

Upon getting the paper, Claire Green glanced casually at it and the next second just lay down on the desk to sleep.

Seeing this scene, John Sinclair looked down at the test paper, remembered his disastrous result last time, and resignedly started writing.

A class period passed with the test, after class everyone's eyes fell on the girl at the back.

Everyone knew, this student slept through the test completely.

Suddenly, someone exclaimed, "Look, the school's forum exploded."

Everyone took out their phones to see, a post with the title "School's new stunning beauty, seems like the title of school beauty needs reevaluation" went viral, opening it revealed someone had posted Claire Green's picture on the forum, the whole school now knew a stunning transfer student had arrived.

[Poster: Heard there's a transfer student in Grade 12 today, curious as I am, I wandered around the school and saw it. The moment I saw that girl, I felt I saw love, not much to say, I'll just post the pictures.]

The photo showed the girl wearing a white shirt, one hand in her pocket, a leg against the wall, playing on her phone with lowered eyes.

Her lips carried an indifferent smile, exuding laziness and defiance.

[I didn't believe the title, now I do.]

[You're not the only one, I initially thought the poster was exaggerating, but reality slapped me in the face.]

[Which class is the sister in, I want to see.]

[Honestly speaking, this girl's look compared to that Olivia Song from Class One is a whole level higher, Olivia looks decent, but how did she become the school beauty?]

[Wow, daring remark, be careful of her admirers attacking you.]

Class One students seeing the post sneakily glanced at Olivia Song, conceding that others weren't wrong, the newcomer was indeed beautiful.

"What nonsense are they talking," Rae Zander vehemently glared at her phone screen, jealousy evident.

Olivia Song raised her hand to tuck away stray hair, revealing her profile, gently asked, "What's up?"

Rae Zander hid the phone behind her, eyes dodging, "Nothing."

Though Olivia Song's body was frail, reading such a post would surely sadden her, better not tell her.

Seeing her expression, Olivia Song realized something was up, opened her own phone to see the link to the post shared in the group, opened it, and stepped back upon seeing Claire Green's face.

How could this happen, how could she transfer to Brightsong, wasn't she at Virtue Wind?

Rae Zander stood there, noticing Olivia Song's ugly expression, her heart dropped, oh no.

"Olivia, they are nonsense, that girl is obviously surgically enhanced, I don't believe someone genuinely looks like that."

Olivia Song didn't speak, only she knew, Claire Green's face was entirely natural, one that everyone envied.

"Olivia, Olivia," Rae Zander seeing no response, raised her voice further.

Drawing her thoughts back, Olivia Song smiled graciously, "Rae, don't speak rashly, Claire isn't like that."

"You know her?"

Olivia Song paused, hesitated slightly, speaking with a hint of worry, "Claire is an orphan, we grew up together, quite close, just that Claire studied at Virtue Wind before, no idea why she suddenly transferred to our school."

"You don't know either?"

"She might still be mad at me, not telling me would be expected," Olivia Song's eyes slightly reddened, forcing a smile.

Now, Rae Zander understood completely, merely an orphan, being supported by Song Manor to study at Virtue Wind ought to be tearfully grateful, unexpectedly she managed to get into Brightsong by some means.

It's just Olivia's kindness considering her family.

As she saw it, saying they grew up together was flattering, saying not nicely Claire was simply a servant raised by Song Manor, yet dared to be angry at her benefactor.

"Olivia, you're too kind, maybe she directed the post herself," Rae Zander said getting more convinced, "I won't let her succeed."

Olivia Song's brow furrowed, a flash of brilliance in her eyes, showing tension, "Rae, what are you planning?"

Rae Zander grinned, leaving a sentence before dashing outside, "Olivia, don't worry about it."

If she wishes for fame, I'll give her a hand.

Watching Rae's retreating figure, Olivia Song happily scrolled through Weibo.

Rae, don't let me down.

Class Six, the chubby guy looking at the photo, leaned over, "John, seems like even your title as campus overlord might be at risk,"

John Sinclair gave him a cold glance, "Feeling bored?"

"I'm just joking, a joke."

John Sinclair snickered seeing his demeanor, poked the sleeping person beside with his hand.

Being disturbed awake, Claire Green's defiant demeanor intensified, she looked aside, "Something up?"

"Desk mate, you've gone viral," saying this handed over the phone, indicating her to look.

Claire Green raised an eyebrow, took the phone, browsed the post, "Good photo."

John Sinclair was stunned upon hearing, wasn't this the main point?
