Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Kid, How Do You Take Advantage of Your Brother?

"What's this OTP nonsense? Look at what you've been doing! Hurry up and get back home," George Xyler glared at her irritably, tossing the papers in front of her.

Isabella Xyler pouted dismissively and said, "Taking down scumbags is everyone's duty. I'm not going back."

"In that case, I'll have to call Julian."

Sure enough, hearing this, Isabella's face froze for a moment as she looked at George incredulously.

"Are you really my brother?"

George tapped her on the head and spoke slowly, "Maybe you should have another test done."

Growing up, this was practically her catchphrase, and once she actually went and took a paternity test.

It made him so angry he wanted to cut ties with her.

Mason Quinn watched the two, exasperatedly rubbing his forehead, "Here you two go again."

"No choice, she's only afraid of Julian," George said, not off the mark at all. The few of them grew up together, and Isabella would go against anyone and anything without fear. Yet, she was only ever flustered when she saw Julian Sia.

"I'm not going back! I've decided to stay in Bayne City for school," Isabella firmly stated while tearing the papers in her hand.

...

Claire Green stood outside her room door, looking at Julian Sia, "Want to come in and sit?"

Julian chuckled lightly, leaned closer to her, and patted her head, "Kid, are you an adult yet?"

Claire's lips curled with a playful gleam in her eyes, "When I heard my brother offered to send me down here, I thought he was more eager than I was."

Julian paused temporarily, then the smile in his eyes deepened.

"Kid, keep your thoughts healthy."

Claire leaned closer, raising her eyebrows, fixing her gaze on him as she spoke word by word, "How do you know which kind of 'eager' I meant, seems like you have quite an engaging life."

Implying that what she said and what he said were completely different, insinuating that he's quite active onto something.

However, the man looked at her with an amused and unfazed expression.

His low and lazy voice was making her ears itch.

"If I really wanted to do anything, you wouldn't be standing here."

With that said, he reached his hand over.

Claire instinctively caught his hand, lifting her gaze only to see the man looking at her meaningfully.

In his deep eyes, her reflection was vividly clear.

"Kid, how come you're taking advantage of your brother?"

Julian spoke with a lazy tone, his lips curling.

He guided Claire's hand to the doorknob, pressing it down.

"So this is taking advantage, looks like brother's not losing out," Claire remarked pointedly at their hands and licked her lips with a mischievous smile.

"Go on in," Julian's eyes deepened, pulling back his hand.

She walked inside, suddenly turned back and smirked, "Claire Green."

Upon hearing, Julian's smile widened, his voice carrying a casual tone, "I am Julian Sia, kid, sleep early, or you won't grow up."

With that, he strode away gracefully.

Claire glanced down at her chest, her lips twitching slightly, this man really is...

...…

"Olivia, check out the forum," Rae Zander squeezed in front of Olivia Song as soon as she entered the classroom, speaking with a grin.

Upon opening the forum, Olivia saw that the once praising comments had all turned into insults and skepticism.

She secretly chuckled and expressed disapproval, "You didn't do this, did you?"

Rae nodded, "I was just being truthful."

"Rae, what if someone finds out?" Olivia looked at her with a worried expression.

"It's fine, I posted anonymously," Rae said dismissively, her fingers continuously scrolling through comments.

Seeing the harsh remarks, she felt unusually content.

Let's see who still likes her now.

While scrolling, suddenly the page displayed as non-existent.

Rae reloaded the page but it remained the same, she looked up, "Olivia, can you still see the posts on the forum?"

When Olivia checked, she found the posts were gone, she shook her head, "Can't see them."

"What's going on, the posts suddenly disappeared."

Seeing her like this, a look of disdain flashed in Olivia's eyes, idiot.

This confusion spread through the classes as everyone scanned the forum and discovered all posts about Claire Green were missing.

"John, the posts are gone," Sebastian Winn, who had been monitoring the gossip closely, informed John Sinclair of the disappearance.

"Gone."

"Yeah, I wonder which genius did it," Sebastian said as he showed the web page to John.

Upon hearing this, the image of Claire flashed in John's mind, but he shook his head, how could it have been her.

The next day, Claire Green with one shoulder strap of her backpack on, her eyes red and full of displeasure, appeared at school.

Seeing her, the surrounding students began whispering to each other with varied expressions.

Upon entering the classroom, she found her desk in disarray, books scattered all around.

Her footsteps halted as a cold glint appeared in her eyes, "Who did this."

Following closely behind, John Sinclair and Sebastian Winn saw Claire standing there looking ice-cold.

Approaching, John's face turned grim as he cast a glance around, "What's going on."

The others glanced at each other but remained silent.

At this moment, who would dare speak out, hasn't anyone noticed John's anger is about to burst?

"I'll ask one last time, who did it," Claire spoke in a low tone, devoid of emotion.

"It was Zhang Hao," a female student pointed at someone cautiously while looking at Claire.

Following the direction, she saw a guy with pockmarked cheeks wearing glasses, his body trembling.

Claire slowly walked over, and with each step, the tension in the room seemed to grow.

"You did this."

"Yeah, so what, someone like you doesn't deserve to stay at Brightsong," Zhang Hao said disdainfully admitting.

As soon as he finished speaking, everyone saw Claire kick him, placing her foot on his stomach while grabbing a book, she bent down and patted his cheek, "Someone like me, huh? Go ahead, tell me."

No one expected that with just a few words, Claire would kick him.

"You dare hit me, I'm reporting this to the school," Zhang Hao growled through gritted teeth as he lay in pain on the floor.

"Do as you wish," Claire's foot pressed harder, her lips subtly curled, a wild and wicked aura about her.

Behind her, Sebastian nudged John, whispering, "John, your title as the top bully is gone."

Upon hearing, John's face darkened, is this really the time to focus on this?

"What's going on in your class? The bell rang, didn't you hear?" The disciplinarian passed by the sixth class, seeing everyone gathered exclaimed loudly.

Hearing his voice, everyone turned and saw the disciplinarian Hu Lei standing at the podium, glaring at them angrily.

Hu Lei quickly realized something was off.

"What are you doing? Release your foot," he shouted at Claire.

Unexpectedly.

Claire seemed not to hear, she lifted her foot, kicking the person towards the back door, and toppled over his desk.

Everyone who witnessed sucked in a breath.

She's really daring!

Hu Lei's rage deepened, his facial muscles twitched with anger, comically exaggerated.

"Both of you, come with me to the office," he said sternly as he left first.

Claire threw her backpack to John, lazily following behind.

Zhang Hao struggled to get up, puzzled by how things had turned out this way.

Once they left, the classroom exploded in chatter.

"Holy crap, Claire's actions are wild!" Sebastian exclaimed in admiration at the scene recalling earlier.

"So quickly calling her sis?" John placed the backpack on his desk, asking casually.

Sebastian tidied his things, squatting down to pick up Claire's books one by one, "The boss's aura is too strong."

"Useless," John tilted his head, "But Claire's temper really is explosive."
