It was night. Stars glittered above Medicine Hall Academy, the air cool and quiet.
**Rudra Yan and his team** walked across the academy grounds, following a message from **Senior Mo**.
But as they arrived, they saw that Senior Mo was **already waiting**, standing beside a calm but sharp-eyed woman with dark green hair tied into a warrior's braid.
> "I've been waiting for you all," Senior Mo said, arms crossed.
Team 113 quickly bowed.
> "Greetings, Senior Mo."
> "This," Mo said, gesturing to the woman beside him, "is **Ken**. She's my teammate."
The woman gave a casual nod, her sharp eyes scanning each of them.
> "Nice to meet you all," Ken said simply.
> "Glad to meet you, Senior Ken," they replied in unison.
Gan Mu, direct as ever, narrowed her eyes.
> "If there's nothing important, Senior Mo, I don't think you'd summon all of us here with Senior Ken."
Ken chuckled.
> "You've got a good head on your shoulders. Let me tell you why we're here."
---
### ⚔️ The Mission Offer
> "We're taking a **Grade 3 mission**," Ken continued. "Mo and I are forming a temporary squad for it. I was hoping to recruit cultivators with **at least 2 members at the 6th chakra point**, and the others at 5th…"
She looked them over again.
> "But Mo insisted your team had a **unique skill set**. So I came to test your potential. I want to see your **clone abilities, mirror copying, and healing techniques**."
Everyone from Team 113 suddenly grew alert.
> *("Grade 3…?")*
> *("She wants to test us herself?")*
Senior Mo seemed to read their thoughts.
"No need to overthink it. I'll explain the mission details and rewards later. For now—**show her what you've got**."
The Demo Begins
Gan Mu nodded. "Understood, Senior."
She took a step forward and unleashed a flowing **Mist Veil**—a water-based mist technique that began to obscure the area.
She turned to Parshu. "Ready?"
> Parshu stepped forward and activated his **Radiant Heal**, instantly cleansing the mist in a wide circle. A golden aura shimmered as the healing light erased the illusion.
Next, **Sesh** stepped up.
> He slammed his palms together and formed **two Mud Clones**, each mimicking his stance.
Gan Mu copied the technique on the spot—forming **Water Clones** of the same movements, side by side with Sesh's.
Ken raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed.
Very good. Now tell me your limits. How far can each of you push your techniques?
📜 Skill Reports
Gan Mu spoke first.
"I can copy up to **five techniques** at once and use them **unlimited times for 30 minutes.** However, if the original technique has a limit, I inherit that too. I can't copy healing or stat-boosting techniques. And I can only activate this skill **twice per day.**"
**Sesh** added, "I can create **two clones at once.** Each clone can use one of my attacks before they self-destruct. I can use this technique **three times per day.**"
**Parshu** smiled. "I have no usage limits for my healing technique. I can cast it as many times as needed. But it consumes a lot of spiritual energy, and it only affects an area of **10 meters**. Anyone within that radius is healed… and any barrier formations in that zone are canceled."
---
### 😮 Ken Reacts
Ken blinked, slightly taken aback.
> "You call those 'disadvantages'? One of you can copy **five attacks**, another creates **self-destructing clones**, and the third can heal **and disable barriers**
She looked at Mo.
"I see what you meant. You're right. Their abilities are not typical… They're battlefield assets."
She turned back to the team.
> "You two with blades—**Gouri** and **Pam**, right? You've got close-range and long-range slashing techniques, and your stealth skills make your team even more deadly."
She smirked.
"Fine. I'm convinced."
Mission Brief
Senior Mo finally stepped forward.
"Here's the mission: We've been assigned a **D grade Hunt Mission** by the academy."
"Target: A **Tier-3 light Element Unicorn Beast**. Our goal is to **slay it**, and **retrieve its spine and elemental stone.**"
Gouri narrowed her eyes. "Isn't that a bit cruel?"
Ken crossed her arms.
> "In this world there's no cruelty. Only power. The strong live. The weak die. Beasts kill humans. Humans kill beasts. There's no morality in survival—only dominance."
Gouri nodded. "Understood."
> Rudra asked, "What's the reward?"
Senior Mo answered, "The academy has set a bounty of **15,000 Medi-Coins** for this mission. We're offering **50% to your team.**"
Rudra blinked. "Medi-Coins? What are those?"
---
### 🪙 Medi-Coins Explained
Ken stepped in. "Medi-Coins are the **currency of the academy.** Like gold, but more important. You need Medi-Coins to buy everything—elixirs, pills, scrolls, even entry into secret training areas."
Senior Mo added, more seriously now:
> "You can check your current Medi-Coins using your academy badge."
Everyone did—and saw **500 Medi-Coins** registered in their batch.
> "But," Mo added darkly, "you'll only understand the **true value** of Medi-Coins when you reach **Beast Knight Spark Level.**"
Rudra and Gan Mu exchanged glances. They could sense the **weight** in Mo's words.
Later, back in their dorm at Room 113, Rudra gathered the team.
> "It's fair. This is our first Grade 3 mission, and we'll get valuable experience. Let's take the 50%. What we'll learn is worth more."
Everyone agreed.
Gan Mu faced Mo.
> "Okay, Senior Mo. We'll join you."
> Ken nodded. "Good. We leave **at dawn** tomorrow."

### 🌌 \[Later That Night – Team 113 Room]
Rudra reached into his satchel and pulled out two scrolls glowing with elemental light.
> "**Sesh**, this is an **Earth Element Technique Granth**.
> **Gouri**, here's a **Wind Element Technique Granth**.
"
> "Refine and learn them tonight. They might be useful in tomorrow's mission."
The others nodded, serious and ready.
