EXT. ORPHANAGE GARDEN – NIGHT – GOA
The garden is dimly lit with fairy lights strung across old mango trees. The scent of wet earth lingers in the air after a light drizzle. Moonlight glows on dew-drenched grass.
Ahaan stands beneath the canopy of a tree, arms crossed, waiting.
Dressed in black. Face unreadable.
But eyes burning.
Footsteps.
He turns.
Mishri walks toward him, high heels clicking softly on the stone path. She's dressed elegantly — too elegantly for a garden meeting. Her smile is calculated.
MISHRI (teasingly):
"Couldn't wait to see me, huh?"
AHAAN (flatly):
"Cut the act. You know why I called you."
She stiffens.
MISHRI (avoiding eye contact):
"You're angry. Fine. Say it."
AHAAN:
"You forged a letter, Mishri. In her handwriting.
You drugged me. Lied to me. Used me."
MISHRI (coldly):
"I saved you from heartbreak.
She would've left you eventually."
AHAAN (steps closer):
"You didn't save me.
You broke me."
MISHRI (desperate now):
"I did it because I love you!"
AHAAN (furious):
"You don't love me!
You love controlling me."
Their voices rise — the storm is cracking between them.
---
EXT. GARDEN PATHWAY – SAME TIME
Mahi walks slowly toward the garden, carrying a small tray of tea — unaware of anything.
A staff member had told her:
"Ahaan sir is in the garden."
She smiled.
Gathered the courage.
Maybe… maybe today is the day to speak.
But as she walks closer…
She freezes.
---
BACK TO AHAAN & MISHRI
AHAAN (growling):
"She cried for me every night.
And I believed you. I left her, Mishri.
I let her go because of your lie."
Mishri sees movement in the distance —
Her eyes catch Mahi, standing just behind the hedges.
AHAAN (still angry):
"I trusted you like a partner. And you stabbed me—"
But Mishri doesn't let him finish.
She grabs his face.
And kisses him.
Hard. Intense. Sudden.
Ahaan's eyes go wide — he pushes her away in 2 seconds.
AHAAN:
"What the hell are you—?!"
But it's too late.
---
EXT. HEDGES – SAME TIME
Mahi drops the tray.
The cups shatter.
Her face — frozen. Pale. Wounded.
Not again.
Not again.
She turns—
And runs.
---
BACK TO AHAAN
He hears the shatter, the footsteps.
Turns.
Sees her.
Sees Mahi running.
AHAAN (shouting):
"MAHI!"
But she's already gone.
---
EXT. ORPHANAGE ENTRANCE – CONTINUOUS
Mahi runs out into the night.
Her vision blurs with tears.
The betrayal plays in her mind like a twisted echo.
Mahi (thinking):
"I was right…
He never came back for me.
He never chose me."
---
BACK TO GARDEN
Ahaan stares at Mishri — his face full of fury.
AHAAN (deadly quiet):
"You planned that."
MISHRI (innocently):
"She was here?"
AHAAN (steps forward):
"You knew.
You saw her.
You made her run again."
MISHRI (cold smirk):
"And she ran. That's all she ever does."
Ahaan's fists tighten.
AHAAN (whispers):
"You just made your final mistake."
He turns and runs after Mahi —
this time, not to explain.
But to fight for her.
