Chapter 45 - Damn These Ninja Clans

Anbu Base.

In a dark chamber, Captain Black Ape spoke, "Fox, your squad has a priority mission: track down and eliminate two rogue-nin."

"Captain, is it related to the Uzumaki Princess?"

"No. These are rogues designated by the Yamanaka Clan. They must be eliminated immediately—not a day's delay."

Yako took the scroll, his brows tightening as he scanned its contents.

This was the most sensitive period to be watching over Kushina. Uzumaki Mito's funeral was imminent. He didn't want to miss that grand occasion.

The Nine-Tails. Uzumaki Mito. The Senju Clan. Kushina Uzumaki. Any of them could give him another chance to trigger a system lottery reward.

Still, Yako couldn't afford to voice any objections.

When Anbu assigns a mission—you do it. No exceptions.

He would just have to finish this as quickly as possible and return to the village to continue monitoring the Uzumaki Princess.

Reading the scroll twice over, Yako tucked it away and headed to the locker room to gather his squad.

Team Fox left Konoha at once, heading northwest.

As they moved, Yako kept analyzing.

The Yamanaka Clan had always been the village's ideal tools—perfect operatives. Their duties were crucial and irreplaceable.

Gathering intel from enemy corpses. Framing others using the Mind Body Switch Technique. Relaying battlefield orders.

Back during the Land of Waves mission, that Yamanaka named Kōri had shown Yako how utterly inescapable their framing techniques could be.

Control the enemy's body—and they couldn't resist. Couldn't speak. Couldn't move. Death before clarity.

So if the Yamanaka themselves demanded immediate execution, enough that Anbu had to divert agents away from monitoring Kushina… then these two rogues had seriously threatened clan secrets.

Were they planning to sell Yamanaka jutsu to enemy villages?

But the scroll didn't say what their crime actually was.

Too little intel. No way to form a plan.

He glanced at Purple Cat. A Yamanaka kunoichi. No doubt that's why their squad had been chosen.

"Purple Cat, the targets we're hunting—they're Yamanaka, like you. Do you have any details on them?"

She hesitated, then said:

"Captain, the targets aren't particularly strong. Both are at chūnin level. Our squad is more than capable of eliminating them."

"Why did they go rogue?"

Purple Cat dodged the question again. "It involves the Yamanaka Clan's reputation… I can't say more. But truly, their combat ability isn't high. A straightforward plan will do."

Yako narrowed his eyes.

Not strong. But still considered an urgent threat to clan pride. The Yamanaka insisting on immediate execution.

Then why hadn't the Yamanaka sent their own agents?

Why rely on Anbu?

They arrived at a small town about fifty kilometers from Konoha. Yako ordered a cautious sweep.

According to intel, the two rogue-nin were likely here.

It wasn't a large town. A little digging revealed new visitors—specifically, a couple from out of town who'd been frequenting the local bathhouse.

After studying the bathhouse layout, Yako issued his orders:

"Purple Cat and I will infiltrate from the rear wall and create peepholes to confirm identities. Antelope, Black Ox—you'll stay hidden in the trees behind the bathhouse, ready to assist on command."

Yako used Earth Release chakra to silently bore a small hole in the rear wall.

He pressed his eye to it, scanning the shared bath area.

Mixed-gender. Over ten people inside. No sign of the rogue-nin.

Yako wasn't some voyeur like Jiraiya. He moved and made two more peepholes.

Finally, on the third, he struck gold.

Targets acquired.

But as he was preparing a strike plan—he paused.

"Wait... something's wrong. Not two rogue-nin. Four people. Two more than expected."

He nearly launched an assault based on faulty intel.

Purple Cat whispered urgently, "Four? Let me see."

Yako stepped aside to let her peek.

She recognized all four faces—and her heart sank.

"There are indeed two rogue-nin," she murmured, "but the other two are Yamanaka shinobi. They were stationed on the border. I don't know why they're here."

"You don't know why?" Yako's voice was low. Icy.

"Purple Cat, you can't keep withholding intel.

Two targets, we could hit hard and fast. But four?

I'm not risking my squad on half a plan.

We're Anbu. We die for the village—but only with purpose. Not because someone's clan hid the facts."

Purple Cat's breathing turned shallow. "Captain, just look. You'll understand soon… It's not about hiding intel. It's just… unspeakable."

Yako returned to the peephole.

The Yamanaka Clan wasn't known for physical strength—so none of the four had sensed him yet.

The two rogue-nin appeared to be instructing the others. The two newcomers listened intently.

The scene unfolding stunned Yako.

He expected the worst—a depraved bathhouse orgy.

He had no idea how much further the depravity would stretch.

For a man who'd consumed every twisted niche across the net—East, West, domestic, foreign, bizarre, taboo—Yako's brain still short-circuited.

Wait... what are they doing?

One male. One female. Both Yamanaka.

Each casting Mind Body Switch Technique—on each other.

The woman's soul took over the man's body.

The man's soul entered the woman's.

And then—

They…

He…

They…

Were fucking. Themselves.

The girl's soul, in the man's body, was screwing the girl's own body.

And vice versa.

What the hell even is this?!

"I… just… slept… with myself?"

Is this some kind of evolved jutsu? Mind Body Switch: Double Reversal Mode?!

Both pairs of Yamanaka were practicing this technique. Testing it. Developing it.

Yako's stomach twisted. His jealousy peaked like a summit punch.

These bastards deserved to die.

And not because of secrets.

Because of blasphemy.

How the hell was this fair?!

Why did the Yamanaka get to experience something so twistedly novel and unique, using their secret clan jutsu?

Damn these ninja clans.

Yako pulled out an explosive tag.

He turned and gave the signal to Antelope and Black Ox.

Attack. Immediately. No delay.

Explosive tags weren't cheap—but this wasn't the time to worry about money.

He wove hand seals—Earth Release: Hidden Fish in the Mud. The wall rippled like water.

Yako phased into it.

BOOM!

A massive explosion rocked the private bath.

The heretics inside scattered in chaos.
