IN FRANCISTOWN
(Block 4 clinic)
Sid's POV
Me: "I think I'll only need this. Let's go."
Huney: "Did you take all her reports?"
Me: "im just going to check and move her to my surgery."
Huney: "And you think she will come with you willingly?"
Me: "If she doesn't, then I'll have no choice but to do the doctor's way. I have to monitor her closely. Cuddles. It was so selfish of me to just ignore her and allow mine and Hun's issues to affect something important and now look. I know as long she knows that I refused to come, she doesn't wanna see me, but I have to. This is the least I can do. "
Huney: "I understood. To think she didn't tell me she is carrying triplets, i thought im her favourite person."
I laughed my lungs out as I took everything I'd need from my drawers. She hasn't changed. Still the little cuddles she was many years ago, and I don't think she will change.
Me: "Stop sulkingand, let's go."
*SOMEWHERE IN Gaberone*
*Hun's POV*
Me: "I thought we talked about this, Puleng. I'm married now."
Puleng: "But I still love you, God knows I tried to forget you, keep my distance away from you, but I just keep coming back without realising it."
Me: "but Icant do anything, I'm married, and I love my wife."
Puleng: "You love your wife, you live your wife, but you are here changing spit and squeezing private parts with me. Just marry me Hun that's all I'm asking. "
Me: "You want me to become a polygamy man, are you hearing yourself?"
Puleng: "Yes, that's just how much I love you. I'm ready to share with her just to marry me. We will raise our child together , he will grow with both parents together just please, at least consider it."
Me: "This is insane but I'll, I'll think about it."
Puleng: "Thank you, that's all I'm asking for."
I switched on my phone to check my emails from my company. I settled the deal two days after I left home, but I chose not to go back and just be away for a little while, so I went to Gaberone. After one day in here, that's when I bumped into Puleng.
I love this girl. I don't want to lie. I never stopped loving her or thinking about her ever since she left. But I also hate her, I hated her for cheating on me with my best friend, my brother. The hate I have for her is less than the love I have for her. Now it's worse she is pregnant with my child, unlike my so-called wife, who is pregnant with someone else's child and that someone could be my ex friend.
I also know that she loves me too and thus is why I'm considering marrying her as my second wife. I know Royalty won't have a problem with it. All I have to do is go and talk to my mother for her to talk to dad, and then it will happen.
Me: "Baby, I have to leave. Please take care of our child for me."
Puleng: "But you don't have to leave so soon. Please spend one more week with us. "
Me: "I have ok, babe, you know it."
Puleng: "Everybody and I mean even kids know that you are your own boss, so why the rush? Please, my love. "
Me: "Yes, I'm my own boss, which is also the reason why I have to go. Those people might ruin my companies while I'm here. You see what was happening here at my company just because I stayed too long without coming to check everything out. We will talk on the phone."
Puleng: "I love you, ok."
Me: "I love you more. Take care of yourself. "
I took my small travelling bag as I exited the house and got in my car, after I put my bag in the back seat.
I drove to my parents' mansion. Yeah, my parents' house is counted as one of the mansions in Botswana. I arrived and drove in, got out of the car, and went inside. My mom was happy to see me but my father, I don't know that one. We catch up a little before we call it a night. The next day I was home the whole day and my parents worked half a day because I was home.
They treat me like I'm the only child or the last born. We spent our half of the day palying small games, and in the evening after supper, my dad was the one who talked first.
Dad: "How is my daughter-in-law doing?"
Oooh shit, here we go, and to think I didn't even call to check up on her. Am I a bad person?
Me: "I....I....well she....she is good, yeah yeah she is fine".
Dad: "That's good to hear. I can't wait to hold my grandchild in my hands. "
Mom: "I'm praying day and night for that child to be yours, you will never know with these little whores".
Dad: "How could you...."
If I let these two fight then we will go to sleep right now without me talking about what I want to talk about.
Me: "I have something to tell you or rather ask".
They stopped exchanging words and looked at me waiting for me to continue.
Me: "im impregnated someone and I'm in love with her also, so I want to marry her."
Dad: "we don't do polygamy in this family and so you are not going to start it , that is final."
I looked at mom waiting for her to say something.
Mom: "if you love her to I dont have a problem with you marrying again. I guess we can stop the white wedding and prepare to go and marry her. Where doe she stay?"
Dad: "what!"
Me: "she stay around here and oooh she is pregnant too. She can give birth anytime now".
Dad: "oh Nkosiyame."(oh my God)
Mom: "what, who does she stay with? You know she can't stay alone especially on the last stages right?"
Me: "Yeah I know mom, which is why I came here humbly asking you and dad to help me with the lobola negotiations in 2 to 3 weeks time before she give birth so that she can come and stay with me."
Dad: "you mean 'us'?"
Me: "it's the same, dad im begging you, if it's not for me please do it for your other grandchild."
Dad: "I can make it happen in less than a week but did you talk to your wife. She is part of your life and you are bringing another women in her home so she should know first so did you?"
Me: "no, but I'll...."
Dad: "no Hun, if you don't talk to her and she agrees on her own then know that you are going to find fake uncles to go and marry this girl for you, period."
Me: "ok ok ill talk to her but atleast call your..."
Dad: "you don't have to worry for anything, talk to your wife. Tell her to call me after you two talk then there and there I will happen."
Me: "ok, fine I'll do it."
Mom: "do we know the girl or she is one of your one night stands?"
Me: "what the.....mom you don't fall in love with your one night stand?"
Mom: "But you can fall in love on that night."
Me: "mom, re you hearing yourself? I'm leaving first thing tomorrow morning."
I said and stand up running to the elevator going to my room. Yes this house has a lift which is why it's called a mansion. It has 3 floors.
*Royalty's POV*
Me: "Do you hate me that much? I mean, I made one mistake, infact it was not a mistake because I was not ready to tell you, and eventually, I was gonna tell you, but I had to be punished severely for that"
He just looked at me with a tear that escaped his left eye.
Me: "There is always something that is called a second chance. People do get second chance in life, so why couldn't you give me one. Don't I also deserve a second chance?"
Sid: "I didn't mean for this to happen, I thought......."
Me: "The doctor called. He called you, and I was listening to your conversation, and you know what you said? 'I have surgery to perform so I can't come you can handle that', that was it and you drop the call there and there. Why didn't you ask who it was? Why didn't you care? Is it because you knew that there was a possibility of that patient to be me?"
Sid: "I'm sorry."
Me: "I begged you, Sid. I begged you to do an abortion to me, but no, you refused. I remember you saying, 'No, you don't have to do this, go home and think about this.' The other time when we were officially dating you said, 'I'm either you and I'm not going anywhere' but what did you do? Ypu left me, chased me out to go and live with someone you don't even know how he treat me. "
Sid: "Hun is not a bad person, and I...."
Me: "Don't say what you don't have proof about. You didn't even ask me if I wanted to go with him or not considering the fact that I had left him in the first place."
Sid: "I'm sorry, I know no words can be enough to make you feel better but I'm really sorry, after what happened between months ago between me and him I couldn't fight with him about you. Please forgive me."
Me: "Please take me home and don't tell me I haven't recovered yet because I have."
Sid: "I'm taking you to my house, you...."
Me: "You wouldn't day, I'll kill myself, and you will get arrested for murder. Just take me to my husband's house now."
Sid: "But you haven't...."

Me: "What the hell are you trying to do? I said I'm fine. Stop forcing me to stay here, or you want to kill my other baby also."
Sid: "I'm sorry, I'll get your medication from the clinic, then I'll take you home."
I didn't say anything, I just looked the other sides as tears stream down my face . I removed my specs and wiped the tears that kept om falling.
Sid: "Can I check you out again and your eyes also before you leave?"
Me: "sure".
I let him be he checked me and did whatever he wanted to do, and I had my eyes closed. A few minutes later, he finished and asked me to wear my specs.
Sid: "I need you to see an ophthalmologist, I'll send you the details for the one you will go and see, including the date and time."
Me: "I don't have a phone, so where are you going to send them?"
Sid: "Oooh shit I forgot, I'll buy.....I mean I'll send them to Cuddles she will take you there."
Me: "Again, who is Cuddles?"
Sid: "ooh shit, sorry, I mean Huney."
Me: "Will you stop swearing and take me home?"
Sid: "Give me 5 minutes. I'll be back."
*an hour later*
Sid: "Will you be ok alone?"
Me: "Why do you care? I'm nothing to you, right? Just do me a favour and tell Huney that I'm home."
I said and got inside the house. The house is the way I left it. Hun is not back. You can even smell dust, but I have to rest to recover quickly. I slept around past 5 pm and woke up the next day morning. I spend the whole day just sleeping on the couch in the sitting room. Lucky the couch is like a bed, so I was sleeping comfortably.
Around the past 1 pm, I heard a car pulling up at the driveway just near the door, and just a few minutes later, the door opened, and Hun entered.
He just looked at me without saying anything , threw his bag on the couch, and went to the kitchen. He came back from the kitchen drinking water in a glass.
Me: "Welcome back, my husband. How was your business trip? Did everything go well?"
I said, smiling like a retired. Deep down, I was just laughing at him. I mean, when he sees me, he sees a village fool, right?
Hun: "it didn't go as I had expected. That's why I took long to come back, but I can safely say I got something at least."
Bitch, he even has the liver to lie looking me in the eye.
