Chapter 50 - Chapter 50: The Pirate King of the Seven Seas

The 107th Regiment charged into the city of Bethel, where street fighting and hand-to-hand combat ensued between the Allied and Axis forces. Relying on their advantages in weapons and numbers, the Allied forces quickly controlled a large portion of the urban area.

Steve's combat capabilities were on full display. One man leading the charge, seemingly unstoppable. He led his team through the streets, destroying enemy fire points one by one.

All the while, Alan remained perched on Nanaue's head, his hands firmly blocking the shark-man's nostrils to prevent him from inhaling the scent of blood and going berserk again.

"Nanaue, follow Steve," Alan instructed. Watching Steve cut a heroic figure through the battle, Alan looked incredibly pleased, like a loving father who was optimistic about his eldest son's future.

The process of eliminating the Nazi troops was surprisingly smooth. When faced with defeat, the ordinary soldiers wisely chose to surrender.

"Captain, we've found a heavily guarded location in the south of the city. We can't seem to capture it," a commando reported to Steve.

"Lead the way," Steve agreed without hesitation.

When they arrived at the location, they found a fortress-like building. The enemy soldiers guarding it were wearing heavy metal armor and holding weapons similar to the beam cannons from the city walls, only miniaturized into rifle form. The laser beams they fired were extremely powerful and could penetrate thick walls, making the Allied soldiers afraid to attack rashly.

Pew!

A laser penetrated a wall and grazed Nanaue's arm, leaving a sizzling, burnt wound.

Alan blinked. "Does it hurt?"

"Pain," Nanaue answered dully.

The skin that could resist bullets could not resist lasers. Steve immediately realized the danger and shouted, "Everyone, get out of here!" He was physically strong, but his defense was much weaker than Nanaue's. He dared not show off his power anymore.

"Nanaue, cover your nose."

Boop! Boop!

Alan pulled out his fingers and secretly observed the enemy's situation. He found a fatal weakness and said with disdain, "What era is this? There are still people using wired laser tag."

The weapons of this group of soldiers were all connected by power transmission lines, like thick cables. In short, if he cut off the energy supply, the weapons would become useless.

"Shit, I'm going to activate the Berserker Blood Burning Mode again." Turning back, Alan saw that Nanaue's eyes were gradually becoming bloodshot. The shark-man tried very hard to plug his own nose, but his short arms couldn't reach.

"Don't be afraid. Physical isolation." Alan took off his shoes, crumpled his socks into a ball, and stuffed them into Nanaue's nostrils. The bloodshot red in his eyes quickly disappeared.

"Wait for my signal." After that, Alan set out to sneak into the castle. Steve tried to stop him, but he vanished around a corner. Nanaue looked around with a confused expression on his face, a little panicked now that he couldn't find Alan.

"Nanaue, lower your head." Steve, looking disgusted, stuffed the leaking sock back into Nanaue's nostrils.

At this moment, Alan walked into the castle openly. I've turned on the invisibility function, he thought. Why be sneaky when no one can see me?

Inside the castle, energy cables were neatly arranged, extending all the way to the weapons of the soldiers outside. Searching along the route, Alan successfully found the energy device: a three-meter-tall cylinder that emitted an ice-blue light.

The researchers affiliated with Hydra's science division were constantly moving research data, preparing to evacuate as the situation became hopeless.

"Cologne, don't worry about the experimental subject. He's getting weaker and weaker. It's not worth the effort to study him."

"Morte, there must be a way to restore his strength. This is the only test subject that will allow us to develop a super-serum that can crush theirs."

The two supervisors were arguing fiercely over whether an experimental subject should stay or go.

Alan looked at Cologne, then at Morte.

Smack!

He gave a big slap to the person who had spoken the loudest. Morte suddenly felt a burning numbness on his face. The two of them looked at Alan, who had appeared out of nowhere. Brother, who are you? What does our argument have to do with you?

When he saw injustice, he had to fight against it. Upholding justice gave Alan a strong sense of mission. Of course, he did not forget to do his job. He pulled out the machete tied to his waist. Since Steve hadn't wanted it, Alan had equipped himself with it.

"Roaring chicken! Roaring chicken! Roaring chicken…" He picked up the machete and began chopping at the device. Sparks flew everywhere.

"Stop him! This madman wants to destroy the energy storage device!" Cologne shouted, ordering the researchers to help. Considering the safety of the laboratory, no one was allowed to bring weapons inside, worried that an accidental discharge could cause an explosion. So, they just picked up whatever they could find to fight the enemy.

Even though they had the advantage in numbers, they still couldn't subdue a madman.

"Blinding sand!" Alan used a physical magic attack, scattering the sand from the bottle.

"My eyes! My eyes!"

"It hurts so much, I can't see anymore!"

"Damn it, my eyes are stinging! Hurry up and get some water!"

A group of scientific researchers covered their eyes and wailed in pain, snot and tears flowing uncontrollably.

"The sand is fried with chili powder. It tastes delicious." Alan continued to swing his knife at the device, muttering, "Roaring chicken! Roaring chicken! Roaring chicken…"

"Stop it, you psycho!" Morte picked up a wrench and stepped forward.

Bang!

A beer bottle hit his head, and blood began to flow. The beer bottle that would cost him three thousand lives.

Alan glanced at Cologne, who was ready to help. He lifted his coat to reveal the remaining beer bottles stuck in his belt and asked, "One bottle refreshes the mind, two bottles you'll never tire, three bottles you'll be immortal. Oh yeah."

Bang!

Another beer bottle hit Morte's head, and a small column of blood spurted out.

"Why did you hit me again?" Morte gasped in pain, holding the wound on his head with both hands to stop the bleeding.

"Dr. Alan recommends that you complete a full course of treatment."

"Don't hit me! Hit him!"

Bang!

The third beer bottle hit him on the head. Morte's eyes rolled back, and he lay straight down.

"You're crazy!" When he saw his colleague's life was in danger, Cologne turned around and ran for his life.

Bang!

"Ah… hiss…" The next second, Cologne straightened his back and grinned, imitating the crawling of a maggot. The whip of bliss that would take his life for three thousand years.

"Roaring chicken! Roaring chicken! Roaring chicken…"

With a loud bang, blue energy rushed straight to the roof, blasting a big hole. The tenth strike had released the energy stored in the previous nine. Alan had no idea what parts he had damaged, but the energy had exploded straight up. He only knew that the machine was destroyed.

As a result, the weapons that required energy became like scrap metal, and the allied forces outside the castle immediately launched an attack. The Nazi soldiers, with no weapons in their hands, could only raise their hands in surrender.

As the castle was quickly captured, many high-tech pieces of equipment were discovered, which immediately attracted the attention of the officers. Moreover, the capture of many scientific researchers might lead to their persuasion to join America, which was an unexpected gain.

"Report to the commander, this is the person we found in the basement."

Two soldiers came to report, carrying a young man who was in a coma. As soon as Alan saw the man's appearance, he blurted out, "He is the Pirate King of the Seven Seas."
