Alan watched as a piece of waste blueprint turned to powder in his hands. He took out another piece of waste paper, decomposed it, and it turned to powder in less than a second.

"I have understood how to play the Alchemist. I have unlocked a new identity: the bully captain of the demolition office is here to see me."

Alan threw himself into the garbage dump, releasing his decomposition skill with both hands, allowing the system prompts to display in his mind. In an hour, he had manually decomposed all the garbage. He swept the paper scraps together and lit a fire.

"Done and call it a day."

Alan walked to a nearby bench, sat down, and watched the flames burn out. He stroked his chin and thought, I'll stay in seclusion for a while and level up before going out. Otherwise, it's too dangerous outside.

As a result, Alan settled down in the Weapons Development Bureau. Food and accommodation were provided, and there was even a salary. He couldn't be happier. He took time to chat with his former cellmates, such as Dr. Wilson, an expert in individual equipment.

"Wilson, do you understand quantum mechanics?" Alan asked in a pretentious manner.

"I'm a mechanical engineer. I don't study microscopic things." Wilson was drawing the lines on a blueprint without even raising his eyelids. He was the unlucky guy who ate the gecko last time. That was Alan's gift for making friends, so naturally, he had to visit often to eat and drink for free.

"At this point, I'm not going to hide it from you. I'm an expert in the quantum field." Alan took a sip of coffee and stuck out his tongue. "Ah… it's really delicious."

Black coffee, you're not fresh at all.

Wilson put down his work and looked at Alan quietly, wanting to hear about his achievements in quantum science. Although his major was not related, the fact that he was able to fool him at least proved that Alan was a rare talent before he went crazy. Of course, it never occurred to him that Alan was simply a lunatic.

Cough…

After clearing his throat, Alan said seriously, "As the saying goes, when faced with a problem you can't make up your mind about, quantum mechanics. If you don't understand color matching, cyberpunk. If you can't explain it, time travel. If your imagination isn't enough, parallel universes. The person who talks about it doesn't understand, and the person who listens to it doesn't understand either. So, what it means to overestimate your own abilities is that you shouldn't learn quantum mechanics by yourself."

"…"

Wilson lowered his head silently and continued to work, not forgetting to order, "Help me empty the trash can."

"I just miss the paper you used." Alan picked up the discarded blueprints from the wastebasket, put them close to his nose, and smelled them, intoxicated. "That smell is so authentic."

Wilson was already mentally immune and ignored it completely.

Before leaving, Alan did not forget to drink up the black coffee.

Vomit…

The next second, the cup was filled to the brim with coffee.

Wilson felt both angry and amused when he saw Alan's frustrated look. What made him angry was that Alan came here every day to drink free coffee. What made him laugh was that he only drank black coffee, and Alan couldn't stand the bitter taste, so he would drink it all in one breath before leaving and spit it all back into the cup before it went down his throat.

Garbage from each office was collected and piled up in the incineration room. He spread out a piece of paper. Alan's eyes sparkled.

"The taste of knowledge." He greedily absorbed the contents of the drawing.

After receiving the system prompt, Alan decomposed the blueprint and commented, "It's not pure enough. Erlov's level needs to be improved."

He continued to the next one.

[HEART OF ALCHEMY PROFICIENCY +7]

"Pure enough. Wilson really didn't disappoint me."

Alan's days in the Weapons Development Bureau were so simple and happy. Day after day, this cycle repeated itself, and three months passed in a flash. Meanwhile, Alan grew up in silence. Of course, silence meant developing quietly, but his mouth was never idle. He not only absorbed the knowledge of many scientists but also read basic books in his spare time.

"Master Dao, I have become an immortal!" Alan stood on a bench next to the incinerator and shouted loudly.

At this time, a woman walked by and looked at him with confusion.

"Black Widow." Alan excitedly stepped forward and boasted, "I'm ready to go out now. Do you want to see my skills?"

"Oh, what skills?" Natasha asked indifferently.

"I can't tell you that." Alan said proudly, "Anyway, I punched American Einstein, kicked Great British Newton, argued with German Gauss, criticized French Descartes, rubbed Riemann's hypothesis with my hands, twisted Fermat's Last Theorem with my legs, watched marginal videos with my phone in my left hand, and captured Goldbach with my right hand. In short, I'm like a little cow riding a motorcycle—awesome."

"…"

Natasha looked nonchalant and said calmly, "I have something to do, so I'll leave first."

"Yeah, okay." Alan sang loudly to Natasha, who did not even turn her head, "Rise up, you hungry and cold slaves, you suffering people all over the world, your blood is boiling, let's fight for the truth…"

At this time, he started singing the Internationale, as if they were going to a battlefield. Natasha awkwardly quickened her pace.

The song ended. Alan was still unsatisfied, and his hands raised involuntarily. His face suddenly changed, and he said, "Lefty and Righty, it's not what you think. I am a very traditional and dedicated man. That woman is far too serious. All work and no play! My heart belongs to someone who appreciates fun, and that's you, Righty."

Alan leaned to the left, resting his face on his left hand, and said, "Little Righty, don't you know that men always say one thing and do another?"

Alan leaned to the right, resting his face on his right hand, and said, "Sister Lefty, what should I do? I love him so much."

After adjusting his body position, Alan looked at his right hand affectionately and said softly, "Righty, you are so cute, how could I lie to you? Come on, give me a kiss."

Bang!

A big left hand hit Alan in the face. On the spot, Alan glared at his left hand. "If you dare to hit my dear, I will fight you." For a moment, the left and right hands clapped against each other.

"Don't do it. It will cause breast hyperplasia if you do it randomly." Alan looked at his hands angrily. "Stop it right now, you are all my little babies." As a result, he slapped his hands on his face. "If I don't teach you a lesson, you will dare to tear down the roof." In a rage, he got angry for a while.

Soon, the sadomasochistic love triangle subsided. Alan was in a twisted position, pressing his arms with his legs.

"Alan, what are you playing?" Wilson looked at Alan, who had tied himself up, with strange eyes.

"Wilson, I'm teaching my two disobedient wives a lesson."

Wife? How could a mentally ill person like you get a wife?

Wilson seemed to realize what he meant and said awkwardly but politely, "I won't interfere in your family affairs. I'm leaving."

On the way to the office building, Wilson occasionally heard Alan going crazy.

"Don't hit people in the face, Lefty. I make a living by my face. Believe it or not, I'll chop you off."

"Righty, don't bother with her. She is a shrew, and she is unreasonable."

Wilson looked back and sighed, "His condition is getting worse."
