Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 Ares's Concern

"After we part ways, I will go to the ocean and tell Uncle Thamas about this. Thank you, Lord Mobius, for the healing power you bestowed upon me." Pallas's eyes were kind and gentle.

The seed of Pallas's faith in Mobius began to sprout in his heart, with thoughts of worship rooted deeply within it.

How he yearned to stay by Mobius's side, to be as perfect as Mobius, with his handsome appearance, wise mind, and words like the maxims of the Delphic Oracle.

However, to remain by the side of such a Lord, one must possess one's own strength, unique abilities. This Lord dislikes fools and has no need for simple-minded individuals!

The wind blew, and flowers bloomed. The sky cleared, and the sun's radiance bathed Mobius.

This gentle conversation deeply affected both deities.

At the foot of Olympus, the anxious God of War Ares paced back and forth, seemingly awaiting someone's arrival.

The handsome Mobius in the distance made Ares's eyes light up. Before Mobius could even steady himself, Ares grabbed the disobedient Master of Healing, and a barrage of words shot from his mouth, "Mobius! Where have you been? I searched all over Olympus. I even asked Apollo to foretell your whereabouts, but all I got was a blank."

"Don't you know you're in great danger?"

Mobius smiled faintly and said, "Of course I know! Lord Ares, I went to see Mother Earth Gaia. You know I couldn't refuse her invitation, and if I were to be abducted by other gods on my journey through the earth, it would be a slap in Mother Earth Gaia's face. Such a thing won't happen, so rest assured!"

"Moreover, I received many benefits from Mother Earth. I gained a new divine position." Mobius pointed to the flower crown on his head and said.

The flower crown on Mobius's head made Ares's eyes light up. Truly, it was Mobius!

"It's truly you. You've gained another new divine position on this trip. In a few hundred years, will my War Pantheon be filled with your divine positions?" Ares joked, "I'll become a soldier guarding your divine positions."

"You know, some gods, from birth until now, tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of years, haven't gained a new divine position." Ares continued as he walked, "You've surpassed most gods in the world. Other gods improve themselves through the accumulation of time, while you improve yourself by acquiring divine positions."

"It's truly an incredible thing."

Listening to Ares's rambling, a warm feeling rose in Mobius's heart. Such warm, unreserved concern was truly wonderful! At least in Olympus, where divine positions were more important than kinship, it was truly precious.

"My apologies, Lord, I'm late. Next time, I will tell you where I'm going." Mobius's purifying power flowed over Ares, relieving him of the fatigue brought on by his incessant chatter.

"However, I met a god on the way whose power might be very useful to Lord Ares," Mobius said, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Oh, what god?" Ares scratched his head.

"He is the God of Rain Pallas."

"The God of Rain Pallas?" Ares frowned, unable to think of any connection between this god of rain and war.

"Is he very powerful?" Ares asked.

Mobius shook his head and said, "Not very powerful, in fact, one could say he is weak. His power is not much different from mine."

"It's just that he has four very powerful children, and these four children are very important to you, Lord."

"Oh?" Ares's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Why do you say that?"

Mobius smiled and said, "Nike, the Goddess of Victory, is Pallas's daughter."

Mobius's words made the fearless God of War Ares hesitate for a moment: "What does that have to do with me? Are you suggesting I go and conquer her?"

"I can't conquer her! After all, the War Pantheon is too crowded; we don't need so many gods there," Ares said.

"Moreover, her mother, Styx, is by no means inferior to me; she is a goddess in the Underworld comparable to Hades."

Hearing Ares's conflicted words, Mobius smiled and said, "Lord Ares, you must understand that some matters are not just about subjugation; cooperation is also possible. Win-win cooperation is what we should be doing most."

"If war always fails, then it's not a good thing for other gods either! Even if you, Lord, can benefit whether you win or lose."

Ares scratched his head, "What do you mean? If war always fails, it's not a good thing for some gods?" Ares repeated.

"Yes! If war always fails, then it would be a joke for Your Highness Zeus," Mobius continued firmly.

"From whom did your divine position, Lord Ares, originate?"

Before Ares could speak, Mobius continued to explain, "Hera, Your Highness, the Goddess of Marriage, was known as the Goddess of War before she became Your Highness Zeus's wife."

"She gave birth to you in war." Ares nodded, indicating that what Mobius said was correct!

"I didn't expect you to know this; I thought you wouldn't," Ares said with emotion, "I was born from my mother's involvement in conflict combined with my father's thunder."

"When war developed to a certain extent, the god who presided over war appeared, which is me!" Ares didn't finish the latter part of his sentence, but the power of war was incomplete; a corresponding god was yet to be born. Could it be you, Mobius…?

"Yes. You, Lord, are merely a pure concept of war. Victory does not belong to you, nor do violence, passion, or harmony—the good and bad aspects of war. None of these belong to you." Mobius became somewhat excited at this point, "But if you bring these gods under your command, then your power, Lord, will be greatly strengthened. You might even be able to rival Your Highness Zeus."

Hearing Mobius's words, "Can war threaten lightning? Is war really that powerful?" Ares's eyes gradually became complex; it seemed he had thought of something else.

Ares never believed that war could overthrow Zeus's position as king of the gods. His greatest confidence in himself was merely to secretly conspire with Apollo to overthrow Zeus's rule.

Mobius continued, "Lord Ares, please do not belittle yourself; the potential of war is immense."
