Chapter 14 - THE CHIEF PRIEST 2

CHAPTER FOURTEEN:

THE CHIEF PRIEST 2

The young man walked to his farm, a mocking smile still plastered on his face. He thought to himself, "That foolish old man wanted to stop me from going out today. He thinks I'll listen to him, but he'll be ashamed when he sees me in the evening with my basket full of harvest."

As he arrived at the farm, he noticed that there was no one nearby, and he didn't care. He continued to work on his farm, whistling a tune as he labored. After thirty minutes of intense work, he became tired and decided to take a rest.

As he sat under a tree, he noticed a group of strange creatures emerging from the forest. They were unlike anything he had ever seen before - tall, with glowing eyes and skin that seemed to shift and change color. The young man felt a chill run down his spine as the creatures approached him.

The leader of the creatures, a towering figure with eyes that seemed to bore into the young man's soul, spoke in a voice that sent shivers down his spine. "Why are you here today?" he asked.

The young man summoned up his courage and replied, "This is my farm, and I came here to harvest my crops today. But why are you stopping me?"

The creature's leader frowned at him. "Stopping you? I don't understand you at all. This is our meeting ground, and we hold a meeting here every month. Today is the day, and you are here to disturb us."

The young man's eyes widened in shock. "My farm is your meeting ground? You're using my farm every month, and you can't even pay me? Today, I caught you red-handed, and you're still talking rough?"

One of the creatures stepped forward, its eyes blazing with anger. "Are you alright? Are you with your senses? You're talking to our leader like that. Do you want to die?"

The young man stood his ground, despite the fear that was growing inside him. "This is my property, and you don't have the right to use it without my permission. If I'm happy, I'll allow you, but now I've changed my mind. Before you use this place, you must pay me for the previous meetings and the advance meetings you plan to hold here. Otherwise, leave."

The creature's leader sneered at him. "Do you think I'm afraid of you because of your puny human body? You're insulting me, and I'm too gentle nowadays. Tie him to the big tree along the roadside and torture him for two hours. If he doesn't die after the torture, kill him directly."

The creatures dragged the young man to the nearest big tree, and the torture began. The young man screamed in agony as the creatures inflicted pain on him, but he couldn't last long. After thirty minutes of intense torture, he succumbed to his injuries and died.

As the creatures disappeared into the forest, the chief priest's words echoed in the young man's mind: "Don't go to your farm tomorrow, or you will not return home." The young man had ignored the warning, and now he had paid the ultimate price.
